#54447 JackMezSAFC : Hoilett's stats dont seem promising but his potential seems to be through the roof. Interesting to see where you'll be with him in 4-5 seasons time.

Network game is where 2 people can play one game on different computers :)

Sounds interesting, how do we do that?
#54418 JackMezSAFC : I'd advise you to sign Leandro Damiao from Internacional in Brazil. Hes a proven goalscorer and will bag you 15 goals a season.
That may not seem prolific, but the goals he scores will be clinical.

I also advise you to sign Walter Montillo from Cruziero, and try and get Ganso from Santos, although Manchester City always go in for him.

I will be following your story closely, seems you know what you're doing!

Good luck :)

Only just saw your Walter Montillo suggestion - unfortunately he went to Arsenal for quite a sum. Arsenal broke the bank with the signing but I can't remember how much they paid exactly.
yeah he always moves there on my games for around 16 million
Champions' League Group E
Man Utd 3 - 1 Shakhtar (Vidic, Andriy Pyatov own goal, Javier Hernandez/Luiz Adriano)
Line up: De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Giggs, Young, Nani, Cleverley, Rooney

Fantastic start as we beat Shakhtar 3-1, with Vidic scoring a header, Chicharito bagging a goal and their goalkeeper made things worst by deflecting his own ball into the net. Adriano pulled back a consolation for Shakhtar in the 90th minute. Next match will be against Chelsea in the EPL and the match after that will be against Liverpool in the third round of the League Cup.
Forgot to mention that Park Ji-Sung has been loaned out to Spanish club Malaga for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent $6M-$8M deal.

By the way, my squad numbers for this season

1) David De Gea
2) Kyle Walker
3) Patrice Evra
4) Phil Jones
5) Rio Ferdinand
7) Michael Owen
8) Anderson
9) Dimitar Berbatov
10) Wayne Rooney
11) Ryan Giggs
12) Chris Smalling
14) Javier Hernandez
15) Nemanja Vidic
16) Michael Carrick
17) Nani
18) Ashley Young
19) Danny Welbeck
20) Fabio
21) Rafael
22) Paul Scholes
23) Tom Cleverley
24) Darren Fletcher
25) Antonio Valencia
26) Junior Hoilett
29) Tomasz Kuszczak
30) Jack Barmby
31) Mats Daehli
33) Adnan Januzaj
34) Anders Lindegaard
35) Michele Fornasier
42) Kerim Frei

I have left out a few youth players with squad numbers but they are the ones that I don't want and looking to sell or release.
Man Utd 3 - 1 Chelsea (Nani, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez/Didier Drogba)
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Giggs, Nani, Young, Rooney, Hernandez

Used my best 11 for this match and deservedly got a 3-1 victory.

League Cup
Liverpool 1 - 2 Man Utd (Steven Gerrard/Nani, Wayne Rooney)
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Jones, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Fletcher, Carrick, Hoilett, Berbatov, Owen

Looked to rest a few players and that almost cost me. Gerrard scored a penalty after Jones brought him down in the box in the 30th minute - Nani equalized in the 59th minute and it looked like it was going to extra time but super-sub Rooney, coming on for the poor Michael Owen, scored a winner in the 82nd minute. Not happy with the performance, and I feel we were lucky to get this result.

Swansea 0 - 1 Man Utd (Darren Fletcher)
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Jones, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Fletcher, Giggs, Hoilett, Hernandez, Rooney

I feel we could have won by more goals. Rooney missed a penalty, but Fletcher saved us with a strike in the 70th minute.

Champions' League Group E
Leverkusen 2 - 2 Man Utd (Renato Augusto, Tranquillo Barnetta/Javier Hernandez(2))

Leverkusen took the lead through Renato Augusto in the 5th minute, but we responded immediately with Chicharito netting in the 7th and 30th minute. We looked to be coasting to a victory but Barnetta then netted an equalizer.

Next match will again be against Liverpool in an EPL match.
Been flying since my last update.

Liverpool 2 - 4 Man Utd (Steven Gerrard(2)/Young(2), Nani, Ferdinand)
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Scholes, Giggs, Nani, Young, Cleverley, Hernandez

A fiery affair as five to six players got the yellow. Young and Nani scored first to make the score 2-0, but a Gerrard effort coupled with an early penalty gave Liverpool a comeback. With the score at 2-2, Ferdinand kept us ahead with a header into goal and Young completed the win over our rivals with a superb effort in the 84th minute.

Man Utd 3 - 1 Newcastle (Rooney(3)/Lovenkrands)
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Giggs, Valencia, Young, Frei, Rooney

Great win for us and Rooney also netted a hat trick. Both of my first-choice strikers(Hernandez and Rooney) are in incredible form at the moment. However, my first-choice formation only uses one striker, so it's a headache sometimes who I should use as my striker for the match. Also, I'll probably be looking to ship some of my strikers out in January or the end of the season, because I have way too many.

Champions' League Group E
Man Utd 1 - 1 M. Haifa (Rooney/Kaufman)
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Smalling, Vidic, Fabio, Fletcher, Giggs, Nani, Young, Cleverley, Rooney

Disappointing match as Haifa scored in the 90th minute with a penalty. Too many penalty decisions have been given against us this season.

Man Utd 5 - 0 Norwich (Hoilett(2), Fletcher, Bennett OG, Welbeck)
Line-up: De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Vidic, Evra, Valencia, Fletcher, Carrick, Hoilett, Owen, Welbeck

Gave Michael Owen his first start and he disappointed really. I only gave him a start because he was whining about not getting enough playing time, and he didn't do very much and I eventually subbed him out at half time. However, today's victory was a convincing one and I'm pleased with the progress of my new signings like Hoilett and Walker.

League Cup
Man Utd 2 - 1 Middlesborough (Rooney(2)/Bennett)
Line-up: Lindegaard, Walker, Jones, Smalling, Fabio, Cleverley, Daehli, Frei, Hoilett, Rooney, Welbeck

Fielded a young team and they duly delivered with a 2-1 victory although it was captain-for-the-day Rooney who scored all the goals. I am now through to the quarter finals where I will face Newcastle.

Aston Villa 2 - 3 Man Utd (Bent, N'Zogbia/Welbeck, Young, Cleverley)
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Jones, Smalling, Fabio, Cleverley, Anderson, Frei, Young, Rooney, Welbeck

Because I thought since my young team did so well last match it wouldn't hurt to field them again, and it was disastrous as Villa took advantage of my second-choice defenders and scored. I made a few changes and the match was going 2-2, but good ol' Cleverley scored a late winner to give us the three points.
I am now 1st in the EPL with 10 games played, 1 drawn, 1 lost, a goal difference of 16 and with 25 points. Bolton, who have been top since the start of the season, has dropped to 3rd with 23 points. Man City is in 2nd place, above Bolton only on goal difference. So far the only team that haven't lost a match yet is 8th-placed Tottenham, with 3 wins and 4 draws.

I am interested in Eden Hazard, but if he comes to the club it would mean Cleverley goes, or Frei placed in the reserves for quite a long while. Also, I have signed 17-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder Moises on a free transfer after he was released by Villareal for some reason or another. I also made an approach to sign 16-year-old French striker Mbaye Niang from a French club but I lost out to competition from the likes of Real Madrid, Inter and Arsenal. Niang will now join Arsenal when the January transfer window opens while Moises will join us on 1st July 2012. I have also placed Dimitar Berbatov and Tomasz Kuszczak on the transfer list. Berbatov have so far rejected a contract offer from PSG after I accepted their offer, while I have also accepted two offers for Kuszczak from Fulham and Real Madrid.

Rafael has resumed light training and he is expected to be fully fit for selection in a few weeks time. Injury has kept him from appearing in a match for us this season, which is why I keep using Walker. When Rafael returns there'll be increased competition for the right-back position. Also, Welbeck is ruled out for 3 to 4 weeks after suffering an injury in the Aston Villa match.
Tomasz Kuszczak will go to Real Madrid in a $1.5M deal on 2 January 2012.
Champions' League Group E
M. Haifa 0 - 5 Man Utd (Young, Vidic, Cleverley, Hoilett, Rooney)
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Carrick, Nani, Young, Cleverley, Rooney

Very nice result as we are now in the knockout rounds of the Champions' League. I hope to at least make it to the semis or the final.

Stoke 0 - 0 Man Utd
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Jones, Giggs, Valencia, Young, Cleverley, Rooney

Bad result for us as we lose our 1st-place spot to Man City. We couldn't finish well and overall a disappointing and boring game.

Man Utd 1 - 1 QPR (Nani/Djibril Cisse)
Line-up: De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Giggs, Nani, Young, Cleverley, Hernandez

Another bad result as we look to lose even the 2nd spot, with Bolton chasing us close behind in 3rd. We need to get our game up soon or we won't be bringing in anymore trophies this year. Also lost Chris Smalling to injury and he'll be out for 3-4 weeks.

Champions' League Group E
Shakhtar 1 - 2 Man Utd (Fernandinho/Nani(2))
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Jones, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Giggs, Nani, Young, Cleverley, Hernandez

A mostly unchanged line-up as the only change was bringing in Walker in place of the injured Smalling. A half-decent result but I was happy with the performance of the team today and fired up to see what awaits us in the knockout rounds.

Tottenham 2 - 1 Man Utd (Bale, Defoe/Sandro OG)
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Giggs, Nani, Hoilett, Frei, Rooney

Our luck finally ran out and Spurs put a stop to our eight-match winning streak. Bale scored first but Rooney shot at Sandro who in turn stuck his leg out conveniently to put in an own goal for us to equalize. My players lacked discipline today and Walker, Nani and Fletcher all picked up yellows. Walker, in particular, needs to stop the fouling as he already has six or seven yellow cards this season. Giggs got injured and had to use my last substitute to replace him, and when Nani got injured in the 90th minute we were one man down. In the last minute of injury time, Vidic got the red card for a vicious tackle and Spurs won the free-kick. After a lot of confusion in the box, Defoe pounced on the ball after De Gea deflected a shot away and passed the ball into the net. In the very last minute of extra time. What a bummer.

Rafael is now fit for selection after so many months out of football with his injury. However Nani, Cleverley and Welbeck are now all out injured. Nani will take about 3-4 weeks to recover, while Welbeck and Cleverley could come back in about 1-2 weeks. Bummer for Nani because he's been one of my best players this season.
League Cup Quarter Final
Newcastle 2 - 3 Man Utd (Papiss Cisse(2)/Hernandez(2), Young)
Line-up: De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Smalling, Evra, Anderson, Scholes, Valencia, Young, Rooney, Hernandez

Good result as we went up 3-0 but Cisse gave us a scare scoring 2 goals in 5 minutes to make the score 3-2, we however hung on and we're through to the semi-finals, where we will face West Bromwich.

Man Utd 1 - 0 Wigan (Vidic)
Line-up: De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Fabio, Fletcher, Giggs, Hoilett, Young, Frei, Hernandez

Sub-standard performance and it required a towering header from the captain to give us the three points. On the positive side we are back in the title race after losing ground to Man City with our recent draws and loss. We are 2nd and only two points are the difference between Man Utd and 1st-placed City. Bolton, however, is closing in at 3rd place.

Champions' League Group E
Man Utd 3 - 0 Leverkusen (Rooney, Jones, Young)
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Vidic, Jones, Evra, Cleverley, Fletcher, Giggs, Young, Rooney, Berbatov

We didn't need a result as we are already in the knockout stage but the boys still gave it their all and our confidence only increased with this 3-0 win.

Fulham 3 - 5 Man Utd (Jones OG, Villa, Murphy/Hernandez(2), Smalling, Briggs OG, Valencia)
Line-up: De Gea, Walker, Smalling, Jones, Evra, Valencia, Anderson, Giggs, Young, Hernandez, Rooney

Fascinating match. We went 2-0 up but Fulham hit back after half time and scored three goals within the space of 5 minutes. They led 3-2 right until the 86th minute, when Chris Smalling's first goal for the club, a header, put us on level terms. Young then delivered a cross and Fulham's Briggs stuck his foot out to put the ball into his own net in the 88th minute, and Valencia made things worst for Fulham with a close-range finish in the 90th minute. I'm extremely pleased with my first-choice strikers and wingers as they are doing a really good job at the moment.

Our next match will be against 1st-placed Man City who are above us by two points. Also, Steve Kean of Blackburn, Alex McLeish of Aston Villa, Massimiliano Allegri of Milan and Claudio Ranieri of Inter have all been fired. Alan Shearer is being linked closely to the Blackburn and Aston Villa job.
good story mate whats hoillet like is he any good ? looking at him for my west brom team
Thank you :) so far in 9 apps he has scored two and assisted three. His prime attributes are Acceleration, Natural Fitness, Pace, and Flair which are 18, 16, 18 and 17 respectively, currently two and a half stars but my assistant believes Hoilett's potential is three and a half... Sorry, I would post a screenshot but I don't know how to do it :P
Alan Shearer has officially took over the reins at Blackburn. Also, Martin O'Neill is sacked as Sunderland manager as the club is now at 19th place.
