City Rob Villains Late On
Manchester City pulled off a late showing to draw 3-3 with Aston Villa at Villa Park. Gabriel Agbonlahor scored a headed own goal after just seven minutes but Villa captain Stylian Petrov equalised under half an hour later with a ferocious drive from the edge of the box. Former Arsenal left back Gael Clichy then also scored a similar own goal to Agbonlahors following a Villa corner when he nodded the ball into his own net. Hulk then got his first goal for Manchester City with a powerful finish past former City goalie Shay Given. Emile Heskey then put Villa ahead again when he was put one on one with Joe Hart but Edinson Cavani scored a very late equaliser to save Manchester City from a first loss of the season after Samir Nasri had a shot saved. City where then reduced to 10 men when Nasri had to go off due to injury but the visitors had made all three changes. Joleon Lescott also came off early due to injury. Adam Walker said after the game "This is a platform that we can work on. We can build on today's performance and improve. I am looking t bring one or two players in by the end of the month but these can only really happen if we move some of our players on."
