City Hammer Newcastle In Easy Win
Manchester City and Newcastle United seemed evenly matched going into the game but when it came to the game itself, City were the only team that turned up after beating Newcastle by three goals to nil. Belgian centre back Vincent Kompany put his team ahead after five minutes after Edinson Cavanis header was saved from a Leighton Baines corner. Cavani then got himself a goal with a good finish past Dutch goalie Tim Krul. Carlos Tevez then completed the rout with a well timed volley thanks to Hulks cross. Adam Walker said after the match "Our team is one of the best sides in the world at this moment. I don't see why we can't be up there with Barcelona and Real Madrid. Our team, in this form, can conquer the world." Alan Pardew agreed with Walker, saying "This City team can win the league this season, with ease I expect. They have already proven they can beat United and once they face up to Chelsea and Arsenal, they could probably sweep them aside."

Kacar then made an error by passing the ball directly into the path of striker Edinson Cavani and he scored a fine goal, placing the ball into the net with his right foot. Sergio Aguero then got his second of the game and wrapped up the victory for the home side when he smashed the ball into the net.
