#56711 shaneo insaneo : look at cesar azpilicueta for a right back . and mikel san jose for a centreback. its more enjoyable to read a story if there is different signings to the usual ones people get
Cheers I will have a look. I just needed some proven players to cement my status at the top before I signed a couple of young players or unknowns :)

City Hammer Newcastle In Easy Win

Manchester City and Newcastle United seemed evenly matched going into the game but when it came to the game itself, City were the only team that turned up after beating Newcastle by three goals to nil. Belgian centre back Vincent Kompany put his team ahead after five minutes after Edinson Cavanis header was saved from a Leighton Baines corner. Cavani then got himself a goal with a good finish past Dutch goalie Tim Krul. Carlos Tevez then completed the rout with a well timed volley thanks to Hulks cross. Adam Walker said after the match "Our team is one of the best sides in the world at this moment. I don't see why we can't be up there with Barcelona and Real Madrid. Our team, in this form, can conquer the world." Alan Pardew agreed with Walker, saying "This City team can win the league this season, with ease I expect. They have already proven they can beat United and once they face up to Chelsea and Arsenal, they could probably sweep them aside."

City Hammer Trabzonspor

Manchester City hammered Turkish side Trabzonspor 5-0 at the Etihad in the Champions League. Trabzonspor goalkeeper and captain Tolga Zengin scored an own goal when Edinson Cavanis shot hit the post and rebounded off Zegins back and into his own net after just one minute. Sergio Aguero then scored a penalty after Giray Kacar brought Edin Dzeko down in the box. Kacar then made an error by passing the ball directly into the path of striker Edinson Cavani and he scored a fine goal, placing the ball into the net with his right foot. Edin Dzeko was next to score for City in a brilliant 20 minute period for the home team when he beat the offside trap and powered the ball past the helpless Zengin. Sergio Aguero then got his second of the game and wrapped up the victory for the home side when he smashed the ball into the net. Adam Walker said after the game "This was one of our best performances yet. We played Trabzonspor of the park and deserved our victory."

Shaky City Edge Past West Brom

Manchester City showed signs of tiredness early on in the season after beating West Bromwich Albion 2-1 at the Hawthorns. Frenchman Samir Nasri put the visitors ahead with a curling effort which easily beat West Brom keeper Ben Foster. Spanish attacking midfielder David Silva then got his first of the season with a tame effort. Paul Scharner scored in the last minute of added time of full time for West Brom but it was only a consolation however. City manager Adam Walker said he felt his teams performance wasn't good enough "I don't think we played up to standard today. We could and should have won by a lot more but didn't take our chances."
