RIGHT, help needed here. I have Hummels and Subotic as two centre halves who are world class in my opinion, but only Santana as back up, and I like having young central defenders in my squad. Any ideas??
Raphael Varane he's 18 and he plays for Real Madrid CF he grows into a quality player and I think he's quite cheap

Match #3: Bundesliga

Borussia Dortmund....4
Augsburg....2

Goals...
10 Shinji Kagawa
20 Sebastian Langkamp
27 Nando Rafael
41 Robert Lewandowski
63 Shinji Kagawa
86 Robert Lewandowski

Cards...
39 Robert Lewandowski
47 Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker
84 Lorenzo Davids

Man of the Match...
Shinji Kagawa

My Starting XI and Subs
GK: Roman Weidenfeller (C)
RB: Lucasz Piszczek
CB: Mats Hummels
CB: Neven Subotic
LB: Marcel Schmelzer
CM: Ilkay Gundogan
CM: Markus Henriksen
AMR: Shinji Kagawa
AMC: Mario Gotze
AML: Ivan Perisic
ST: Robert Lewandowski

GroBkreutz (on 80 for Gotze)
Nene (on 80 for Kagawa)

Now, that was a scare for a bit! I thought that after Shinji got us into the lead early on, I thought that it would be a total walkover. But no, Augsburg score two quickfire goals to startle the whole of the stadium, including the Dortmund manager, who promptly began biting his fingernails!! Then the currently prolific Mr Lewandowski got me a goal, and then it was reasonably straightforward. So far so good, 6 points in 2 games. Oh, now Kehl is out for 3 weeks to join Bender, so I am praying Henriksen or Gundogan doesn't get injured!!!

In other news...
In what could possibly be the biggest transfer deal of the window, Marek Hamsik has left Napoli in a £19m deal to join Manchester City

Next Match... Hoffenheim, Bundesliga, Away.
Varane is not cheap in the slightest, Madrid won't let him go easy. I'd recommend Daniele Rugani, he's perfect for rotation and backup, and at only 16/17, he'll develop like crazy. :)
Plus you sign him for free with only 1.4million compensation :D

I thought that about Varane when my best scout said they wouldn't want to sell him. I'll have a look at Rugani, thanks!

Match #5: Bundesliga

Hoffenheim....1
Borussia Dortmund....1

Goals...
13 Shinji Kagawa
82 Sven Schipplock

Cards...
29 Peniel Mlapa
54 Edson Braafheid
55 Lucasz Pisczcek

Man of the Match...
Lucasz Pisczcek

My Starting XI and Subs
GK: Roman Weidenfeller (C)
RB: Lucasz Pisczcek
CB: Mats Hummels
CB: Felipe Santana
LB: Marcel Schmelzer
DM: Ilkay Gundogan
CM: Sven Bender
CM: Mario Gotze
AMR: Shinji Kagawa
AML: Ivan Perisic
ST: Robert Lewandowski

Lucas Barrios (on 67 for Lewandowski)
Sime Vrsaljko (on 79 for Kagawa)

Well, that's the 100% start to the season gone. To be honest, we did not deserve much more than a point, we were absolutely shocking. How Pisczcek won man of the match is amazing, the highest rating being 7.4. A thoroughly tedious game, but 7 points from 9 isn't too bad I suppose. One positive is how well Kagawa seems to be doing in front of goal and he is joint top scorer so far with Mario Gomez.

Next Match... Freiburg, Bundesliga, Home.

Match #6: Bundesliga

Borussia Dortmund....1
Freiburg....0

Goals...
88 Lucas Barrios

Cards...
20 Nene
41 Seb Kehl
45+2 Sime Vrsaljko
58 Garra Dembele

Man of the Match...
Roman Weidenfeller

My Starting XI and Subs
GK: Roman Weidenfeller
RB: Sime Vrsaljko
CB: Mats Hummels
CB: Seb Kehl (C)
LB: Kevin GroBkreutz
CM: Markus Henriksen
CM: Ilkay Gundogan
AMR: Shinji Kagawa
AMC: Mario Gotze
AML: Nene
ST: Lucas Barrios

Robert Lewandowski (on 68 for Nene)
Lucasz Pisczcek (on 88 for Vrsaljko)
Felipe Santana (on 88 for Kehl)

Well that was a close one. Really should have won that much easier, but hey ho, a win is indeed a win and a good one as it is another 3 points to the tally. A 20 yard volley from Barrios from a Kagawa cross- what a way to win! Away from the playing field, I am currently negotiating with Marseille regarding the signing of Stephane M'Bia as a bit of cover at centre half.

Champions League Group Stage Draw
Barcelona
Shakhtar
Borussia Dortmund
Trabzonspor

I am, at the moment, quite happy with this group. Obviously, the big issue could be Barcelona, but I think that my team and Shakhtar are quite similar, so if I get four points from there, one point from Barcelona and six from Trabzonspor, I believe I should get through the group in second place at least, which would leave me on course to get my aim of the quarters. Of course, if i could get first it would give me a much easier game in the next round, but we shall see.

Next Match... Nurnberg, Bundesliga, Away
