Unheard of Serbian manager Nebojsa Nikolic has been appointed of Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade to almost everyones suprise. Not even included in the mix for the job after collecting his coaching badges Nikolic who was raised supporting Red Star is a massive Arsenal fan after living in London for his teenage years is looking to play attacking football and restore Red Star to the European threat they were recognised as being in the 1990's
Will be following this story and with you been an arsenal fan i say you will be there in a few season well best of luck mate

Thanks mate I hope I can challenge in the Europa league! looking at some exciting loan signings now
Is this story thread going to be focused on building Red Star Belgrade up or more in the style of your other thread where it's a case of maximum one or two years at a club?
This is going to be a 5 year maximum project at Red Star, aiming to dominate Serbian football with the limited funds offered and try and crack the europa league or champions league (prove ourselves to be more than the whipping boys) and then when the time (and offer) is right I will look to move Nikolic to another club
What sort of budgets and player restrictions do you have upon starting?
1.1m transfer kitty and a 30k wage budget, for a team wanting to be a European threat you can see my problem :P
And let me guess....you are 10K over the wage budget already?

Get in some loan players (if you can) and hope like heck you can win something so that the Board are more likely to give you more funds.

Personally, I'd think that is more of a ten year project!
Nope! I have shifted the transfer budget to 500k to allow me more funds for signing frees and loanees (as you will see with my update on transfers soon)

Nikolic this week was set for boardroom meetings in regards with the youth facilities and a parent club... After some persuading Nikolic was able to make the board see sense that by upgrading the youth facilities the prospects they have will be able to challenge for a first team place and this means the need to inject lots of cash into transfer funds may not be a neccessity in years to come. The Board also agreed that a parent club is needed and are on the case
What a nice Board you have as well. I always struggle to get them to upgrade the facilities, and when i do it is still a matter of hurry up and wait.
They will be completed this year too! ecstatic!! and going back to your 10 year plan, I think it may be that sort of time too!
How good are the facilities at the moment? In my FM11 save, Maidenhead still had rubbish facilities after we made the EPL, so it is a long and slow process to get them upgraded. It is possible though. :-)

They are "good" at the moment but I want to get them as great as possible to put my mind at ease re: the whole transfer budget :)
And that is never a bad thing to do!!! Are you playing Sunday League, Former International, or somewhere in the middle?
