Year 10 – Premier League

So after a mixed season last year in the league I was hoping for a lot better this year and hoping to qualify for the Europa League at least. Lincoln city need to progress further and I am not willing to let me stagnate in mid table. Regens are starting to take over the game as the real players are retiring so it is a challenge to find talented players before the big teams snatch them.

Transfers

It was going to take a very good player for me to splash the cash during the transfer window as I was very content with my squad, I decided I would let a few players go as I have too many for the 25 player limit.

Transfers out
Basically I assessed all my fringe players and if I believed they were not going to make my first team squad I hadn’t a place for them so I released most and loaned out some of my young blood again, nothing major. Roll on Lincoln in Europe next year

Raymundo Iniguez

Versatile centre back / midfielder who possess the stats to become a real good midfielder in the future. Free transfer from Chivas.

Mariusz Pawlak

Young German left bank with five stars potential, I am weak at left back and rather than pay too much I would rather train a player as I have done before. 1.1 million From Stuttgart.

End of season review

A very successful season all in all. Finishing 5th for me was a really great achievement but it could have been so so much better. First of all I went into the last game of the season in 4th place two points ahead of Liverpool in 5th. I was home to Blackburn who had a poor season but needed a win a result themselves as relegation was still a possibility for them.

As you can see I dominated the game after going 1-0 down but I couldn't get a winner and Liverpool went on to win. Also apart from a blip in form around January/February time I was fighting for at least second which would of been phenomenal but i cannot say im unhappy how this season progressed.
