France lift the world cup

In an exciting game between France and Portugal, France emerged victorious after extra time. Our captain, Sakho, opened the scoring with a great header from close range. Portuguese midfielder Danny then equalised in the 61st minute and the game went to extra time. Jimmy Briand then scored an easy goal after 91 minutes and striker Karim Benzema finished the scoring after 113 minutes.

This is only the second time that France has won the world cup, the first time being the 1998 world cup. The board have told me they are delighted with our performance but are still concerned with our performances in the world cup qualifying section. This made no sense but they assured me that my job was very secure so I am not bothered.

Competition awards:

Best Goalkeeper:

Best Player:

Dream Team:

Golden Boot:

And also Real Madrid's French defender Rafael Varane has won the competition's best young player.

May enters hall of fame

After our historic world cup victory in Brazil, and my success in France managing Lille I have been inducted into the French managers hall of fame, the world cup win gives you so many points that I am now the most successful French manager ever. Bayern fans must be optimistic that I can bring more success to them too.

Having travelled back to Munich, I have submitted an offer for Neymar of 30 million pounds. I am not expecting them to accept, just to see what they want for him. Other options I am looking at buying are: Carlos Fierro (Lille), Mario Balotelli (Manchester City), Edinson Cavani (Napoli) and possibly Robin Van Persie (Arsenal).

If you know of any young strikers who are fast and good both in the air and on the ground I am open to suggestions.

Neymar is staying with Santos

My 30 million pound bid was rejected not negotiated like I had planned and Neymar has signed a new contract so we will not be signing him this summer. I have however submitted a bid of 28 million pounds for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani and I am waiting for a response.
Leaving the club is Phillip Wollscheid. He is moving to Freiburg for a fee of 5 million pounds.

Cavani signs for Munich

Bayern Munich have made their first signing of the summer, having finalised the 28 million pound deal taking Edinson Cavani from Napoli. I have told the press that I am delighted to have signed him and feel he can lead this club to the glory it has been missing in the last few years. Cavani will be available for the first friendly of the preseason against Rochdale and I intend to use him.

Bayern demolish Rochdale in preseason friendly

In Edinson Cavani's first every appearance for the club he earned the man of the match award with a match rating of 10. He bagged 5 goals and set up another as we cruised to victory.

Bayern Munich 10 - 1 Rochdale
Michael Dawson
Edinson Cavani (5)
Thomas Muller (3)
Phillip Lahm
Thomas Muller

I am very happy with my midfield, with them all contributing to both attacking and defending moves especially Bastian Schweinsteiger who made 2 assists.
The only thing that concerned me in this game was my other striker, Mario Gomez. He is a bad passer and an average dribbler at best and he no longer fits into my formation with him playing a more supportive role to Cavani, my target man. I will monitor his performance over the next few games and make a decision as to whether I will keep him at the club.

Edinson Cavani:

Bundesliga Begins

I was rather confused to see our opening league game, against Shalke, was in the middle of our preseason. Anyway after our 4-2 win over Athletic Bilbao we travelled over to Shalke in what I was expecting to be a very tough opening game.
FC Bayern 4 - 2 Athletic Bilbao
Muller (2)
Cavani
Kroos

I was anticipating a difficult encounter against a strong Shalke side who scored first through Jan Huntelaar but a very late goal from Thomas Muller ensured that we took a point from that match.

In transfer news, I have signed Arsenal's Kyle Bartley for 3 million pounds.
being a team of Bayern Munich stature you should be looking for players of alot hight quality than kyle bartley

I know but he is playing well as you will see in my next update. And he was only 3 million and still only 23.

Bayern make disappointing start to league

After our 1-1 draw with Shalke, we beat Ulm 8-0 in the German cup but then drew with Koln 2-2.
Still looking for our first win of the league, we were fortunate to beat Gladbach at home.

The transfer window has ended and unfortunately Mario Gomez is still with us and the deal bringing Robin Van Persie to Germany has fallen through.

FC Bayern 2 - 1 Gladbach
Muller
Robben
Well done so far, especially the win with France and bringing in Cavani. What I would say is perhaps a few young signings to be coming through in the next few years. I also agree Bartley not the best signing, get your scouts to find some young defensive talent instead perhaps in spain or france. Keep it up

I agree that Bartley is not world class but he is more of a rotation option and was relatively cheap. I am aware that my defence needs to be strengthened but currently we do not have the funds to do so. I have scouts looking for young defenders but so far we have had no success.

Cavani makes good start to Bayern career

New signing Edinson Cavani has had a great start in Germany, with the Uruguay captain scoring seven goals in the last seven games.
Bayern Munich defeated Kaiserslautern 6 - 0 with 2 goals from Cavani and a hatrick from Muller, we then beat Mainz 3 - 1 where Kyle Bartley and Cavani both got goals.

The champions league group stages have been drawn with Munich being drawn alongside Liverpool, Ajax and Basel. This was not a difficult group but we needed wins against Ajax and Basel to secure a place in the final stages.

Bayern Munich 2 - 0 Basel
Cavani
Lahm

Cavani scored the first goal from distance and then when he was brought down in the penalty area, Phillip Lahm was there to convert the penalty.

So far my star performer would have to be Thomas Muller with 6 goals in 7 games and an average rating of over 8. Close behind would be Edinson Cavani and Miralem Pjanic.
Muller:

Pjanic:

Bayern rise in the league

After our 3-3 draw with Frankfurt at home, we then beat Dusseldorf 6-1. Next, in our champions league match against Ajax we won 3-1 keeping us above Liverpool at the top of our group.
Then we drew 4-4 against Hannover in a game that we should have won. More goals from new signing Cavani and tireless midfielder Thomas Muller ensures that they stay joint top of the league scoring charts with 10 goals each.

Bayern face Dortmund

After beating 1860 Munchen we had a tough away game against Liverpool which we were expected to lose.
After going behind we snatched a late goal by Kevin Strootman to get a point which I was pleased with. Next we hosted underachieving Dortmund. We dominated the game and the scoreline reflected this.
Bayern 4 - 0 Dortmind
Lahm
Pjanic
Cavani
Schweinsteiger

Also in the German cup 2nd round we recorded a 3-1 win against Nurnberg.
Cavani banging in the goal as expected. You are right about needing to strengthen the defence somewhat...conceding 3 then 4 goals in a game is a bit much. Who else do you have in mind?
