What I've done on my first day as Spurs manager is release the entire U18s and 3/4 of the Reserve squad. The only two players left in my U18s are Ivorian striker Souleymane Coulibaly and Croatian winger Tomislav Gomelt, both have a lot of potential and have been spared the Spurs exit door.

I also cancelled our affiliation with various clubs and now our only feeder club is Leyton Orient.

Also did a massive staff overhaul.

The work is not done yet - I have my eye on several players and a few first-team players may leave, also getting new staff is definitely a priority and I know of some of the best staff in football who can do a job for me.
cant believe you released all your under 18's . did you check you assistant reports on all players before you did so ?

i cant see your under 18's winning a thing this year :P
Yes I did, and nope. The U18s at Liverpool were all hand-picked by me, so they won the U18 league every single time...
what is the plan? to search for players under 18 and offer a youth contract?
How much did you have to pay in compo for the privilege though?

What do you mean mate?
I can't believe you just released your whole u18's team, why have you done that?

Even if they're not that good you'll keep them on board to fill out the squad until their contracts are up surely?

Bizarre..

Tactic 3
My last tactic is a 4-2-3-1 with no wingers.
After hearing an offer from Paris Saint-Germain was rejected by me, van der Vaart seeked an improved contract. I accepted the offer but when I heard about the terms he requested, I told both him and his agent to forget about it. We had a private chat afterwards and this is how it went.
Transfers in
Leighton Baines (Everton, 16 million)

Rafael (Santos, 22 million)

Alessandro Del Piero (Free)

Transfers out
Jermaine Jenas (Aston Villa, Loan Fee 1 million)
Gomes (Udinese, 2 million)
Younes Kaboul (QPR, 5 million)
Adam Smith (Sheffield Wednesday, 1.5 million)
David Button (Sunderland, 850k)
Kyle Naughton (Wolves, 3 million)
Benoit Assou-Ekotto (AC Milan, 6 million)
Jermaine Defoe (Sunderland, 7.75 million)
John Bostock (Leeds, Loan Fee 100k)
Iago Falque (Rayo, Loan Fee 95k)
Thomas Carroll (Sheffield Wednesday, Loan)
Those who went out the Spurs door were either already fringe players before my arrival(Gomes, Jenas etc.) or did not fit in my plans for Spurs(Assou-Ekotto, Defoe).

Leighton Baines will replace Assou-Ekotto as my first-choice left-back with fellow new arrival Zeki Fryers, signed from Manchester United before I took charge at the club, will be backup to Baines.

Rafael will either be the team's first-choice keeper or second-choice, depending on Brad Friedel's form & also his own form - I'll rotate between the two before I can decide on my first-choice keeper this season.

Alessandro Del Piero will be a backup striker along with Harry Kane - I am still looking for quality first-team strikers to replace Jermaine Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor.

I do think I overpaid a little for Rafael, but anyhow I still have 40 million to spend even after all the money I've given away.
still do not understand what you actually do?

I would suggest going for some creative central attacking midfielders. You have already gotten player who wants to leave - Rafael Van Der Vaart, and don't be surprised when Luka Modric comes knocking at your door. Believe me, they both will ask you for the most ridiculous pay rises you have seen in the game. Have young replacements ready, so you don't have to keep playing unhappy players till the end of the season.

Good read so far. Del Piero is a good choice, but you could've just kept Defoe instead, right?
