An injury update from my physio Andy just before the Europa League Final against Tottenham
I am not only busy preparing for the Europa League Final, but also attempting to pull off a transfer. Oriol Romeu plays best as a defensive midfielder and can also play a little more up front as a center midfielder. The only defensive midfielder I have at the club is Lucas, but I seldom play formations with defensive midfielders so I am on the lookout for a defensive midfielder who can play in the center, and Romeu just happens to be transfer-listed by Chelsea.

Last time my scouts gave me reports of his scouting trips in England, I remembered reading a file about Romeu and how Chelsea would probably only sell him for around 15 million. However due to not getting enough first-team time he requested a transfer and now Chelsea is prepared to sell him for 9 million.

Discussions with Chelsea dragged on as I tried to lower the price to 7.5 million. Eventually after their tough stance I had no choice but to accept their demands of at least 9 million, as Atletico Madrid were also interested.

I will be in London soon to discuss personal terms with Romeu, who is very interested in a move to Liverpool.

For now, my focus will be on the Europa League Final against Tottenham. Although we aren't favorites I'm confident we can get a result if the boys work hard enough.
We lose in the Europa League Final as our hopes of winning a trophy this season were blown out of the window...

Tottenham were the better side but Jordan Henderson was the stand-out performer among all 22 men on the field, and we might have won the game if Jordan had might been a little more accurate with his shots, although he did manage to score a consolation goal for us in the 91st minute. Suarez and Carroll, both still not fully fit, were introduced in the second half onwards but had little impact on the game.
Hard luck about the result, but when Jordan Henderson is your best player on the pitch, you deserve to lose :P I would suggest going for Romeu because he will love you forever!
Your writing is easy on the eyes, not giving eyes too much work. Keep writing.
Oriol Romeu looks impressive, actually. Those are pretty good attributes for a 20-year old with scope for future improvement. Thumbs up to that signing, I'd say. And bad luck about the Europa League final. It always seems easier when you play another team from your own division, but it's actually not necessarily, is it?
Glen Johnson, Scott Sinclair, Andy Carroll, and Steven Gerrard has been named in the 30-man preliminary squad for Euro 2012, while Daniel Agger and Pepe Reina are also in the Denmark and Spain preliminary squads. Scott is a surprise name on the team sheet as he has zero caps for England so far and with him also being injured, it'll require a lot of luck for him to be chosen in the final squad. Glen is also injured but is an England regular, so it depends on Hodgson's faith in him, while I think Andy will be selected despite his low fitness. Steven will definitely be selected of course, since he is the England captain and certainly one of their best players.

Henderson wasn't really the best player on the pitch in the Europa League Final... I had Reina, Agger, Gerrard, Lucas all playing... And yes, I will definitely try to get Romeu in the bag. Thanks for the comments :)

Yeah Romeu really impresses me. Bad luck indeed...
My right-hand man Tony headed up to London with me to have discussions with Oriol Romeu at Chelsea's home ground, Stamford Bridge. Discussions were tough but successful, and eventually I thrashed out a deal with Romeu's rather annoying agent. Romeu signed a three-year contract and will earn 30k per week once he joins the club. The transfer will be completed in June when the summer transfer window kicks off.

May/End of Season
We ended off the season with a 5-0 win against relegated Norwich.

Final 11/12 Premier League table

Man City are champions again with Tottenham Hotspur close runners-up and I can see them pulling off a serious title challenge next year. They also finish above Arsenal for the first time in many years.

Bayern Munich will face Chelsea in the Champions' League Final this year again, coincidentally, with Chelsea and Bayern also going head-to-head in last year's Champions' League Final with Chelsea winning on penalties. This year if Chelsea wins it again we'll be confined to the Europa League for a second season even though we finished 4th, so I'll be rooting for Bayern.
Golden Glove: Joe Hart (Manchester City)

Goal of the Season: Nani (Manchester United)

Manager of the Year: Glenn Tham (Liverpool)

PFA Player of the Year: Juan Mata (Chelsea)

Players' Player of the Year: Luka Modric (Tottenham)

Players' Team of the Year

Players' Young Player of the Year: Jordan Henderson (Liverpool)

Golden Boot: Javier Hernandez (Manchester United)
After winning the Players' Young Player of the Year, Jordan Henderson has told the public how good a manager I was and how I was the one who helped him make his good performances consistent. Now I don't like my players speaking to the public without permission but I can't stop smiling after his comments. To win the Manager of the Year in my first year in management is also an incredible achievement.

Suarez and Carroll have both returned to full training and Carroll should be fit if Roy Hodgson chooses to include him in his final England squad. Glen Johnson however is still struggling for fitness while Gerrard has pulled his hamstring in training, although the England captain should be fully fit within a week.

The surprise inclusion in the 30-man England preliminary squad, Scott Sinclair, is also struggling for fitness and will only return in 3 to 5 weeks.
I was watching the Champions' League Final with my mate at his house and it was a delightful match.

What matters is, we are now in the Champions' League!
With Roy Hodgson searching for an Englishman to coach Great Britain U23s in the Olympics, he turned to me, this season's Manager of the Year, and I accepted the job offer before thinking twice. This would be a great opportunity to hone my managing skills. It also gives me a chance to continue focusing on Liverpool as the Great Britain U23s team will disband after the Olympics and I will step down.
The England squad for Euro 2012 has been trimmed and Andy Carroll, who has 6 caps and 2 goals for England so far, has failed to make the 23-man squad. However Gerrard, Sinclair, and Johnson are all through. Daniel Agger and Pepe Reina have also managed to make their country's 23-man squad for the Euros.

Euro 2012 England 23-man Squad
Joe Hart (Manchester City)
Scott Carson (Bursapor)
Robert Green (Queens Park Rangers)

Micah Richards (Manchester City)
Glen Johnson (Liverpool)
Ryan Shawcross (Stoke City)
John Terry (Chelsea)
Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United)
Michael Dawson (Tottenham)
Leighton Baines (Everton)
Ashley Cole (Chelsea)

Tom Huddlestone (Tottenham)
Frank Lampard (Chelsea)
Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Ashley Young (Manchester United)
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal)
Aaron Lennon (Tottenham)
Jack Wilshere (Arsenal)
Scott Sinclair (Liverpool)

Danny Welbeck (Manchester United)
Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)
Daniel Sturridge (Chelsea)

Congrats for getting into the champions league Glenn and the euro squad is looking good aswell, be interesting to see how you go!
