With Manchester City offering out-of-favor strikers Edin Dzeko and Emmanuel Adebayor to clubs, I have set my sights on Dzeko, with the Bosnian striker certain to be a quality player within the Liverpool ranks although deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester City. I will first look to get him on loan as Manchester City are open to loan offers with future fees, but with my squad already having four strikers, I feel I will have to first off-load the weakest of the four, and that happens to be Andy Carroll.

Carroll, or Big Andy as the fans refer him to, has been a bench player for most of last season as I had Luis Suarez and Fabio Borini preferred ahead of the big England international. Bought to Liverpool for a bank-breaking 35 million by my predecessor Kenny, I am now prepared to make a remarkable 34 million loss on him, offering him for 1 million to clubs as no club are willing to pay above that amount for Andy and I am desperate to sell him if I want to bring in Dzeko.

Chelsea have registered their interest and while I was in London preparing the Great Britain boys for the Quarter Final match against Switzerland, Tony phoned me to tell me that Chelsea had made a 1 million bid for Andy. I was tempted to heighten the price since we were talking about Chelsea and big Russian millionaire owners here, but I decided to tell Tony to go ahead and accept the bid.
We managed to beat Switzerland U23s and will now face Mexico U23s, whom we beat in the group stages, in the Semi-Finals.
33M loss on Andy Carroll ... heh.
(Sorry, that's all I have to say right now :P)
We came from behind to beat Mexico in the Olympics Semi-Finals, with Tottenham's Giovani dos Santos scoring the first goal, and the crisis continued with Phil Jones getting himself injured. With Micah Richards already subbed out and no one on the field nor the remaining subs not familiar in the center-back position, I had to bring on Jack Wilshere to play at center-back for the injured Phil, a position the young Arsenal star has never played at before.

The Great Britain comeback started as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain rushed forward from the right with Tom Cleverley lobbing a ball towards him. Beating the off-side trap and getting free of the Mexican defenders, Alex scored a fabulous strike that beat the keeper easily.

Wayne Rooney, captaining Great Britain U23s for the first time after captain Micah was subbed out, stepped up to score a penalty easily and we won 2-1, a deserved victory as we dominated the entire match.
With Phil unable to continue in the Olympics, he has returned to Manchester United to receive treatment from the physios there, and I have called up Martin Kelly to replace him, from my very own Liverpool.
Andy has completed his move to Chelsea and I will now submit a loan offer for Dzeko.
Some international worries for my players as Daniel Agger has failed to make the Denmark squad, while Martin Skrtel has been dropped from the Slovakian squad since May 2012 and will need to find a way to force himself into the first team after also not being considered for a friendly to face Agger's Denmark, in which Agger was also left out of the squad.

Luis Suarez has been dropped to Uruguay U23s and has been told by the Uruguayan manager to prove himself before he can return to the first team, while Ezequiel Lavezzi, my new signing, has failed to make the Argentina squad for the fifth time in a row according to my assistant manager Tony.
Liverpool has drawn Swiss side FC Zurich in the Champions' League Best-Placed Playoff. Meanwhile, I am preparing the Great Britain boys for the Olympics Final against Brazil.

Joe Hart and Jack Butland have been rotated in the goalkeeper position this Olympics by me but I think I will go for experience in the Final and Hart will start.

Micah Richards is also poised to captain the side out and Rooney should be starting as well. Martin will be making his first Olympics appearance in the Final alongside Man United's Chris Smalling in central defense. Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs will take left-back as I move Spurs' Gareth Bale up front as an attacking left winger.

With Bale on the left wing, I am almost certain I will start the excellent Chamberlain on the right ahead of Walcott who has been rather inconsistent during the duration of the tournament, while his Arsenal teammate has been on fire, scoring 4 goals and is currently Great Britain's top scorer in the tournament. Wilshere, who played center-back for 30 minutes in place of the injured Phil Jones in the last match, will start in center midfield, partnering Jordan Henderson.

Although he hasn't really hit his best during this tournament, I will start Wayne Rooney. As they are teammates at Manchester United, I feel Danny Welbeck might have greater chemistry with Wayne and I will prefer him to start the Final ahead of Daniel Sturridge, to partner Wayne in a two-man strikeforce.
My efforts paid off as we thrashed Brazil 4-0. Chris Smalling's header put us ahead and Kelly scored a close-range finish, his first Olympic goal in his first Olympic appearance. A Wayne Rooney penalty helped us along the way and his United teammate Danny Welbeck completed the rout, catching Brazil's keeper Julio Cesar off his line and scoring a magnificent lob.

Both sides were at disadvantages with Brazil's Pato playing with an injury, while we had Kieran Gibbs sent off in the 64th minute for apparent ungentlemanly conduct.

With the Olympics now over, I can now dedicate my time back to Liverpool, with the 12/13 season kicking off in a Merseyside derby against Everton in a week.
Edin Dzeko has joined Liverpool on loan for the season, for a 2 million loan fee. We will contribute 50% to the Bosnian's wages and can purchase him for 7.5 million anytime during the loan spell.
I have officially stepped down as Great Britain U23s manager as the team has disbanded after the Olympics.

The results of the friendlies we have played were rather pleasing and it gives both me and the boys confidence going into the new season. The first friendly was a good one especially with our new signing Robin scoring all seven goals. Delightful.

RvP 7 goals in 1 game? I know it's a friendly against Genk but still.. wow :))
I'm liking this story man! If you need a world-class left winger, I would strongly reccomend Juan Manuel Vargas. He plays for Fiorentina and can be bought on the cheap (£3-5M). He is a better version of Stewart Downing and is very, very consistent. If you need any transfer advice, give us a shout.
Cant believe robin scored 7 goals in a game!
loving this story could to have something different hopefully you can do this at the start of fm 13 (y)
