Haha oh my goodness, you are flying through the MLS! ridiculous.

Pre Season update

another 3 month doing nothing, and than pre-season. Due the North American Champions I played very little friendly's:

Fluminese 3-1
Tampa Bay Rowdies 2-1
Baltimore Bays 2-0
Montreal Impact 3-1
DCU Academy 3-0
Harris City Islanders 4-0

So a pretty nice pre season, with just 1 big match.

In the transfer department we let go of a bunch of players, and brought in much better players. Just 4 major transfer:

In: Wellington (free), the former striker of hoffenheim is playing for 4.6K a week for me
In: Edgar Gómez (free), a very nice regen
Out: Edgar Castillo (2.4M Basel), my first leftback, but there are prices I always sell :)
Out: Facundo Parra (3M, Al-Sadd), superstriker with 75 goals, didn't wanted to extend his contract, where he had just 12 months left.

Screens are on request!

First 16 matches

First the league:

MLS: New York 6-0
let's begin big time

MLS: San Jose 2-1
and 6 out of 2

MLS: Toronto FC 1-1

MLS: Vancouver 3-0
and 270 minutes

MLS: Houston 5-2
Houston had a problem

MLS: Portland 3-1
TIMBERRRRRR

MLS: Dallas 1-1
Probably we were watching the TV series :P

26 points out of 10 matches is never bad

Now International:

NACL 1/4f 1st leg: New York 3-1
3 points for /me

NACL 1/4f 2nd leg: New York 3-0
And i through to the semi's

NACL 1/2f 1st leg: Monerrey 2-0
A win to start with is always nice

NACL 1/2f 2nd leg: Monterrey 3-3
Winning on the awaywin, and in the final

NACL Final 1st leg: Cruz Azul 1-1
Not losing is worth something

NACL Final 2nd leg: Cruz Azul 2-1
But Winning the North American Champions League means a lot!

1st piece of the pentagon is done!
Nice Story Mate keep it going
dutch arrogancy in your opening post, love it..
i have a challenge for you: take a low profile club, with a masiive load of debts and take them all the way, if you can, i'll not doubt you're A fm-god
Did you make use of the "Designated Player" slots at all?

I've just a poke around as Houston, in semi anticipation of FM13, and it appears that money isn't the main driver in the MLS, it is the draft picks.

A young French striker has helped my wingers and other striker score and the most I could sell my "deadwood" off for was for supplement draft picks.

I have four of five international slots filled, plenty of allocation funds, and a supportive Board. My head is around the draft (although I do believe that it favours the weaker teams with the lowest placed finisher have first dibs), but I have questions over the "designated player", or maybe Houston just don't have enough of a rep to use it.
Kiwi, I do, but I have just 1 of those which I use. I prefer Senior slots, as it gives me a small wage advantage :)
Wow. Amazing so far. Parra looks awesome too
Thanks; I'm about to head into my first "draft", exciting and nervous at the same time. :)
