February
An awesome month as we beat Man City 4-1 and Barcelona 2-1, setting the course for us running through this whole month unbeaten. We also advance to the Copa Del Rey Final, where we will face Barca.

7th place, but 5th place is still far away.

My best luck at copa del ray final ;o
Looks like you are doing great things Glenn....as England manager??? :P
March
As we edged closer to the end of the season, March was not a good month to look back on. Losses to Atletico and Valencia, coupled with a draw against Sevilla, saw us drop down the table but thankfully wins against Deportivo and 20th-placed Valladolid saw us remain in 7th. We are also sent crashing out of the Champions' League embarrassingly by Manchester City, as they beat us 4-0 to reverse the aggregate score to 5-4, when we beat them 4-1 in the first leg.

Still 7th, and I doubt we can pull off a 5th place now, but of course we'll continue trying.

There were some youth candidates that tried out for the Malaga youth team yesterday, unfortunately none of them look quality at all so I will not be signing any of them.
April
It has been quite an unbelievable month! Javier Saviola has been in fantastic goal-scoring form and is now recognized as a potential El Pichichi winner, along with Falcao and David Villa. The trio of strikers still have one to two games left to prove their worth and score to win the Pichichi. Saviola was the man of the month, scoring in almost every match. A 4-1 win over league leaders Real Madrid also really boosted our morale.

We have rose to 5th in the La Liga table with only one game left to play!

Just one La Liga match against 15th-placed Levante... and of course, the Copa Del Rey Final against Barcelona, a match I will be relishing.

Ruben: "I want out of Malaga"

Malaga is certainly doing big things in La Liga at the moment. From being a relegation contender in the early stages of the season, which was a shock for a club who qualified for the Champions' League last season, to being a club that aimed for the top five in the latter parts of the season. Indeed, Gary Neville's Malaga will be very, very pleased with their performance in the league this season under the England boss, but one player is not happy.

Malaga's second choice, Ruben, promoted from third-choice after the sale of Carlos Kameni to Southampton in the winter, has declared that he wants more playing time and that he is "not happy" even after Malaga's recent results, stating "I don't care who Malaga wins or loses against, as long as I don't play".

His comments have reportedly angered manager Gary Neville, and the two are believed to have been the main characters in a training ground bust-up yesterday.

Just today, Ruben has announced that he will be playing for a different club next season and that Neville has approved a transfer request.

"Gary Neville says I can leave Malaga in the summer," beamed Ruben, as he talked to Marca earlier today.
Good luck in the final Glenn!

Malaga self-destruct as Barcelona triumph

Malaga practically self-destructed as Barcelona came back from two goals down to clinch the Copa Del Rey.

Gary Neville's side looked to be cruising as first-half goals from vice-captain Jesus Gamez and wonder kid Juanmi took the score to 2-0, but obviously, Tito Vilanova had a few words with his players at half-time.

Barcelona were a changed side after the half-time whistle. Real Madrid played Malaga a few weeks ago and Malaga won 4-1, and Barca made sure not to make the same mistakes.

Xavi slotted in a goal first on the 50th minute mark and 30 minutes later Isaac Cuenca scored to equalize. As the game went into extra time, Malaga left-back Eliseu was sent off, paving the way for Barcelona's 16-year-old Hugo Munoz to score the winner.

Malaga qualify for the Europa League

Gary Neville has pulled off an amazing feat as Real Sociedad's 3-0 loss to Barcelona over the weekend confirmed Malaga have achieved a top five spot in La Liga this season.

The England boss joined Malaga last October when Los Boquerones was 18th in the league, and contenders for relegation.

England: Pre-Euro News

A win against Armenia U19s has confirmed England U19s' qualification to the U19 Euro 2012.

Ashley Cole has suffered a groin injury and will be out for 4 weeks at least, joining John Terry and Tom Huddlestone on the injury list. Gary Neville has put his faith in the trio by refusing to call up any replacements.

Curtain closes on La Liga

Malaga's last match of the season was a 2-0 win against Levante.

Los Boquerones successfully qualified for the Europa League this season, finishing 5th. Surprisingly, Atletico Madrid clinched the title after a late fightback as Real Madrid slipped up. Javier Saviola won the El Pichichi with 35 goals in 34 Liga appearances, just one goal ahead of Falcao who had scored 34 goals in 37 La Liga appearances.

Breaking: Neville to lead Great Britain into Olympics

Gary Neville has confirmed that he will take charge of Great Britain U23s when they head into the Olympics in the summer after Euro 2012.

The 36-year-old already has the England and Malaga jobs on his hands.

"I am young and I don't see why not," Neville said. "It's a chance to win a trophy. I love management."

Spain U23s reportedly wanted Neville as manager, but the England head coach has chosen to stick to his own nation.
