I know this story is orgasmic, but next time, aim lower ;)
Sorry that I left a stain on your story but I'm trying to share my feelings of this story.

I'm still in complete shock, ChosenOne. During the highlights, I saw my keeper pulling off saves left, right and center. For that one match, all the defensive problems in the beta suddenly went away. It was a joy to behold.
your doing really well Akash, keep up the great work!

That is a very big compliment, GameKiller :) I would like to welcome you to this site and hope to see your story here soon.
I too, am in awe of your team doing the business against Swansea. Well done, to put two past them and then not concede is really an achievement, particularly if the stories I hear about the beta are true.

May this be the impetus your team need to kick start the rise up from lowly ranks and the march towards EPL and CL.....

Thank you for the comment, Kiwi. My next update should give you a fair idea where our team is headed :)
I'm going to attempt to mimic Joannes and do a much simpler update, because the detailed one takes away a lot of playing time.

This month of February had a comfortable five matches, only three in the league, for our team. The three leagues were in the first 8 days of the month, meaning, the two FA Trophy Semi Final Legs would be played with a week's gap between them - giving our players enough time to rest. The likes of McNair, Jeffries and Gorman have been complaining of fatigue and want rest after every game because of the compact schedule.
While we won against Histon in the first fixture of the month, Chester lost their match, meaning they were just three points ahead of us. We weren't given a chance against Chester, even though we were home, which didn't give me too much hope, but I forgot my team is awesome.

Luton Town, a team in the Blue Square Bet Premier, in the promotion spots, were again firm favourites against our team. The first match, I decided to 'park the bus' Chelsea style. Playing with 2 defensive midfielders and defensive wingers, I didn't have more than 1 shot on target, but kept their shots to a minimum. They did break the deadlock in the 70th minute and won 1-0. In the return leg, with nothing to lose and the result achievable, I decided to play my usual 4-4-2 attacking game and came away with an incredible 4-1 win. Absolutely incredible. I wasn't expecting it at all.

At the end of the month

A victory against Gloucester, our game in hand, would bring us to first-spot in the league. The league is very close right now, and assuming I win the Gloucester game, I'll still be only 10 points clear of the last promotion spot. With 10 games to go, a bad or good run for any team can change the complexion of the league completely.

Good month, Akash! Superb wins over Chester and Luton. You might finally hit the top of the table. Good luck for the rest of the season.
You beat Chester and reached the FA Trophy final! Im starting to like FC United :)

Thank you for the comment, Moppy. There's a little hint about whether or not I won against Gloucester in the last update. If you check the screenshots carefully, you'll notice.

FA Trophy Final in WEMBLEY! Show me the money! I'm starting to love them :D
What are the changes of a friendly between FC United and Man U? :D

You are doing so, so well Akash.....I'm impressed, and you said you weren't sure about your ability to cope with LLM. :)

To be honest, Kiwi, I'm still not sure about me ability. This promotion was easy, because I think my ability to find players is better than AI, but once L2 hits, and I have to start off with professional contracts, that is when I'll be in trouble.
I have faith in your ability...just in the same way as I have faith in my ability to find a half way decent keeper, or hope that the defense is just something that the full verson will sort.

Professional football is slightly different, and I have had to (as I am sure many others have) totally revamp the team. Your starting players in non league become your bench strength, but you will slowly and surely getting access to better staff. Professional contracts mean full time, which means more time to train.

Facility upgrades may also be on the cards, but it will be years (and years and years and years) before you get any sort of payoff from them.

Best of luck at any rate. :D
