October 2012
Champions League Game 2: Celtic

A game where we were so close to getting a draw turned into defeat with only 2 minutes to go on the clock. We weren't favorites for this one being the away team but I think we have a better set of players and probably should have came away from Celtic with at least a draw.

Eredivisie game 8: ADO Den Haag

A game which we controlled turned into our 2nd defeat in as many games. The 2 big differences in this game were Den Haag striker Mike Van Duinen who got both goals and goalkeeper Gino Countinho who pulled off some good saves to shut us out until we got a consolation goal in the 86th minute. We pushed until the end for an equalizer but we couldnt break down their defence a 2nd time. Den Haag move upto 2nd in the league with that win. Next they faced AZ Alkmaar and won 2-0 to put pressure on us to win our game.

Eredivisie Game 9: RKC Waalwijk

We got off to a great start in this game when Schone scored from the spot and then Kozak doubled the lead before 20 minutes. Things got easier when ex Ajax youngster Rodney Sneijder was sent off for a second bookable offence. Instead of going ahead and dominating the game we found ourselves conceding just after half time. The game was only put to bed when we got another penalty which Lasse Schone scored putting us 3-1 up.

Champions League Game 3: Braga

A nice win for us even though we could and should have scored more but Braga goalkeeper Beto saved his defence an embarrassing result from some great goalkeeping. We got both goals early on and even they though had more possession they couldn't do anything with it as our defenders were playing a good game and kept it tight at the back.

Eredivisie Game 10: PSV Eindhoven

A perfect win against one of our rivals. After a boring first half with hardly no action the game come to light in the 2nd half when Kozak scored on 50 minutes. Then 3 minutes later Mark Van Bommel was sent off for PSV for a 2nd bookable offence. Lasse Schone scored 2 penalties for the 2nd league game in a row with Siem De Jong getting the other.

Dutch Cup 3rd Round: Katwijk

In the 3rd round of the cup we came up against Katwijk a very small club who had done well to get to this far. I decided to stick with mainly first team players with Libor Kozak leading the attack. It paid off immediately when he scored within 30 seconds. Kozak then went on to get 2 more with a man of the match performance and his first hat trick for the club. We lost Daley Blind to injury in this game and he will be out for 6 weeks which we could have done without but we have cover in youngster Branco van den Boomen.
