I had finally finished writing it up. Now to take one last look at it.

It is an impressing CV, actually. 53 goals for Newcastle and 77 goals for Aston Villa :O if you were a player and I was a Championship club I would have signed you up right away.

P.S. Blue's just jealous he didn't score 53 goals for Newcastle and 77 for Aston Villa ;)

Yep, I even scored a bicycle kcik from the half-way line at Old Trafford and I celebrated by making a hanging gesture towards Alex Ferguson ;)

The question is why I'd want to score 77 for Aston Villa

Well, I don't have the time to start the story properly yet. Will be after my wedding so 8-9th January will be when I start.

Some Great Memories



"What changed?" I thought as I shaved. I remember being so happy before, banging the goals and banging the women. I was getting thousands a week and spending it on tasty vodka and tasty girls. One day I'd be scoring a hat-trick, the next day I'd wake up in a random bar with a bra in my mouth and a girl wrapped around my waist. They were crazy times.

I think I knew what happened. When I played football, I was always told what to do. I never got lost and I was always helped with whatever I needed help with. One day I decided to retire and suddenly I was lost. I didn't know what to do. If it wasn't for Kate, I'd probably be found dead in the bottom of a river. She has saved me from near-death situations a few times already. Being only in my forties, I've drank as much as the entire nation of the Unites States!

I began to think of the good ol' days. I remembered signing my first contract and the happiness I felt after. I remember making my first game, running on the pitch and touching the grass. The sound of the fans as I got my first touch on the ball. I scored on my debut too. I remember it well now. Playing for Leeds, last game of the 87-88 season. Jack Ashurst fed me through, I rounded the keeper and drove in to the far corner. I remember celebrating with a fist pump.

I thought about when I met Kate. We met in the summer of 1994. I was doing a photoshoot for a fashion company. It was in Birmingham where I was also in discussions with Aston Villa in regards to a possible move. She was standing outside the photoshoot area with a notepad and a pen. She had an amazing smile. I saw her and I couldn't help but smile and stare. She gazed back at me. I went to her and I gave her an autograph. She gave me her number in return. When I moved to Villa, we started seeing each other a few times.

I realised that was when I started to feel very safe. She was there for me and I was there for her. We were in love. It lasted and lasted and lasted. All the other girls could not compare to her; she was that good. We married in 2001, the happiest day of my life. My football improved when I met her. They were good times. Playing football then was great.

Overall, my football career was great. I got every thing I wanted, except a huge lack of trophies. I retired in 2005 with eighteen years of football under my belt. I got my coaching license but from there it was the case of going from one bottle to another. And that was where I ended up. I woke up at long, long last. The bad dream was finally over. I had to do something and I decided it was time to move on with my life.

The first time I saw Kate, the love of my life.
