I don't think his stats do him justice to be honest.

Wish I could give him more playing time too but Tom Ince and N'Zogbia are playing unbelievably well.

@Liam yeah mate, he's top drawer. Trying to keep him sweet as N'Zogbia is ahead of him in the pecking order, so don't wanna lose him for not getting enough game time!

GETTING BACK ON TRACK

The back to back wins over Stoke and Manchester United seemed to get Villa back in to their groove and a further three victories in December ensured they finished the year in second place.....

Villa must face January without Victor Wanyama and Chieck Tiote who leave for African Cup of Nations duty - so a new defensive midfielder is priority in the upcoming transfer window.

A bit of transfer action at Villa Park today with two in and one out...

Gabby Agbonlahor departs for Queens Park Rangers in a cut price £3.5m deal thus ending a whole career with his hometown club.

French international striker Kevin Gameiro arrives on loan from Paris St. Germain for the remainder of the season, with the Villa fans hoping he can plug the gap left by Darren Bent.



Arriving in the summer is German number 1, Marc Andre Ter Stegen, who arrives on a Bosman free transfer from Gladbach.
