Haha I know how you feel. Had it with Blackpool on FM12 and has £25 mil to spend in my first season in the Prem!

I will be waiting eagerly as always, too.

Nobody had more assists for C.D. Constància then Andi Qosa in 2020/21 and that was probably the only reason he was still on the team. As the manager of the team I was not allowed to say it out loud but I hated everything about Andi Qosa.
The young Albanian had an attitude that just rubbed me the wrong way. In practice he did the absolute minimum not to get yelled at. He didn't care about the fans and used every opportunity to tell the local press that he was too good to play for a team like C.D. Constància and that he need to move to a bigger club.
The problem was that he could get away with behaving like this because he knew it was empty behind him in the depth-charge.

On the left side I would also have to make a decision about Edy Curri who was currently away with the German U20 national team and doing well.
The scouts and trainers still told me that his potential was thru the roof and In my original plan I still had him as the AML for the upcoming season but now I was suddenly not sure anymore. With all the playing time and LIGA BBVA experience he had gathered the last two seasons he should have developed more. I was not going to sell him only to see him develop into a superstar on another team.


I decided to put between €2-3M in to the problem and look for an experienced mentor that could both act as understudy and a teacher when needed.

And then there was the two C.D. Constància legends David Kang and Sergi Compoy.


It was hard not to be impressed by the staying power of the two players.
They were not part of the “master plan” when we first moved up into the LIGA BBVA but both ended up playing significant minutes the first season in the top division. Last year the story repeated itself and they once again got more quality minutes then many of the players brought in to replace them.


Now I needed to upgrade the central midfield and if they had not been “Legends” it would have been an easy decision to let both players go. Now I had to proceed with caution as while I didn't have any long term plans for the two players, I had to be careful not to upset the C.D. Constància fans.

The lower Spanish leagues are rough and it’s almost impossible to catch Real and Barcelona. I have enjoyed it a lot but is now looking forward to trying another league in FM14.

It’s not really back but more wrapping up. I have just started the 2023-24 season in the game. I hope to be able to write and post that season together with the two seasons I have already done (just needs pictures and formatting) before switching over to FM14.

But a bit over the top for a story that has never even been nominated for a SOTM award.

I was happy with Diego Batista and Teodoro Bañares up front. They had combined for an impressive 34 goals the year before and complimented each other perfectly. It was not much compared to the tack-team duos of teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona, but for a C.D. Constància duo it was impressive numbers.


With his 19 goals, a €10.000 weekly salary and a €300.000 price tag when we picked him up from Brazilian second division team São Caetano back in 2019, Diego Batista provided more value for money than any other player I had on my roster.
Only negative I had on Diego Batista was that he was Brazilian and therefore used up one of the three valuable "foreigner" slots on the roster.


With his 19 goals in the previous season he should be a hot commodity on the transfer market and now would be the perfect time to sell high. The big question was of cause what I would have to pay to replace him. If I decided to sell him it would make room for Lucas Hoyos on the left side of the defense.
I knew that all logic said that it would be cheaper and easier to find new left defender then a new goalscorer but I still had the sneaky feeling that Diego Batistas success the previous season was more related to Bañares and team effort than the qualities of Batista.


Bañares was not as dangerous in front of goal as Diego Batista but his understanding of the game and he ability to see the runs of Batista and get him the ball at the precisely right moment was not to be underestimated.


Behind them in the depth chart I still felt that Francisco Monti who could play up front as a striker and could also substitute on both right and left AM, was good enough to keep for another season.


For Juan Antonio the journey was over. He was not a bad player and I could see him doing fine if he got a chance to start on a regular basis for a team in the LIGA adelante. But in Inca his time was up, as I with the money now available would be able to find a backup with a lot more upside.
