Shermishov.. First season.. second cup
Hip-hip-hooray! Zenit are crowned as the Russian Premier Division champions this season! They have won it by a mile, kicking CSKA Moscow's ass by the mile. In the goalscoaring stuff, Kerzhakov is battling Samuel Eto'o for the crown of the top scoarer. Its like 4 matches left, and the battle is tight. They both have 21 goals, but Eto'o has played two games less.
Champions League... beautfiul. Just beautiful. Remember we had to face Leverkusen? We drew 1-1 at Leverkusen's stadium, and in return, we stormed them 4-1 on Petrovsky, in St Petersburg. The board is in love with Shermishov, who, in his first season, has brought them home two cups, the Russian Supercup and the Russian Premier Division.
But its not the end of the season yet, Shermishov is still going in the Champions League. And his luckity luck luck, brings him to Italy against AC MILAN, in the Champions League Quarter Finals. Just so we have an update on the squad Shermishov posesses. And I will include the top performers and the candidates for Zenit's player of the year award (the one picked by the manager).
