February: European Climb

I leaned back in my chair and sighed. February was another disaster.

A 5-0 loss to Southampton, a 3-2 loss to Villa, and a 1-2 loss to Swansea, was then followed by a 1-1 draw to Manchester United, and then a 2-0 aggregate win over Roma to progress to the next stage of the Europa League. Hopefully this signifies a form improvement.

I have little hopes now about finishing in 5th or 6th place, because we are literally about 20 points away from 5th place now. Instead, I hope to win the Europa League, so we can have at least some form of European football next season. Big ambitions, huh?

At this moment, Mark came in and saw me looking at the documents.

"I see you're already reading them," he walked over. "Tough month, huh?"

"Yeah," I sighed.

"At least we are progressing further into the Europa League," Mark grinned. "Triumphing over Roma is a fantastic achievement, you know. It shows how far we have progressed from a Championship club."

I nodded, agreeing.

QPR Player of the Month

Nedum Onuoha

Nedum Onuoha has been simply unbeatable at the back, winning three Man of the Match awards this month in light of his key defensive performances. Has managed to stay injury-free despite the injury problems that has been ravaging the QPR squad so far. Without him and the other defenders, we reckon we would be bottom of the league.

March: Mixed Form

I looked at the monthly report for what seemed to be the thousandth time. It looked like we were destined for a lower-half position. Fortunately, we had passed into the Europa League Quarter Finals, so that cheered me up a little bit.

It's him again! It's always him, Jesus.
Your doing well in the Europa league
Mr. Andriy, do a better job! :P

Keep up with the "satisfying" job! :P
It's seems your having a hard time in the League but if you just hang on and win the Europa league I'm sure the board won't mind a ok finish in the league! Keep it going , great story!

April: End of the Adventure

"Out of the Europa League," I sighed for probably the thousandth time that day.

A 4-1 beating from Marseille confirmed our exit in the Quarter Finals, so that means no European competition for us next season. But after a season in the Europa, I am craving to manage a team in European football and having doubts about my future at the club. That probably makes me a 'traitorous cunt' as some fans might call it.

QPR Player of the Month

Gareth Barry

Barry has been a quality signing this season and has not failed to impress on his loan spell. He is not needed at Manchester City but we think he can do us a whole of good if he signs on permanently, and that is looking likely with his contract set to expire at the end of the season. His displays in midfield this month has not failed to catch our eye and we think it is not long till he becomes a fan favourite if he keeps up with his recent performances.

May: A Disappointing Season

Mark came into my office, handing me the monthly report for May. I looked up at him and shook my head.

It had been a terrible season, at least to me. For the board and the fans, avoiding relegation was enough, but not for me. We had won the FA Cup and qualified for European football. I wanted to build on that, not go backwards.

Trouble at Loftus Road

With the recent retirement of Alex Ferguson down at Old Trafford, the Manchester United hot seat is now one of the hottest managerial jobs in Europe. So far, the likes of Tottenham's Andre Villas-Boas has been linked with the Glazers apparently keen on appointing a young manager.

However, what will interest football fans more is that Queens Park Rangers manager Andriy Shevchenko wants the job.

The former Milan and Chelsea striker's interest was leaked to the media after he was understood to have applied for the job at Manchester United.

Shevchenko, who has won the FA Cup with QPR and took the Rangers to the Europa League Quarter-Final before getting knocked out by Marseille, has had considerable success with the Hoops but we understand that his relationship with owner Tony Fernandes is nowhere near perfect.

The Ultimatum

Andriy Shevchenko has reportedly been given an ultimatum by the QPR board.

And it looks like the Ukrainian has decided that he wants to stay on in his post, as today, he issued a public apology to the board over his intended interest to pursue the hot seat at Manchester United.

Shevchenko had this to say on Queens Park Rangers' club website.

"To everyone associated with Queens Park Rangers Football Club, I feel the need to apologize for my actions of publicly pursuing the Manchester United job. It has been very unnerving for the fans and players who want me to stay on as manager, and I am honoured that my presence is valued by so many people. Thus, I feel that there is a need to tell every one about my final decision, and that is to stay on as the manager of this fantastic football club. Since I have made that decision, I also think an apology is needed to clear the air between myself and the board, who are displeased with my recent actions. I hope that every one associated with Queens Park Rangers can continue to back me and the club in our search for glory."

Tony Fernandes and the Queens Park Rangers board of directors also released an official statement.

"We welcome Andriy's decision to stay at Loftus Road and we of course accept his apology. He is to stay on as manager of Queens Park Rangers Football Club."
