August: A Good Start

"I think we had a splendid start to the season, what do you think, Mark?"

"I share your thoughts, Andriy, as always," Mark nodded. "Here's the monthly report for this month."

Community Shield
Tottenham 1 - 1 QPR (2-4 pen.)

Premier League
QPR 2 - 0 Ipswich

West Bromwich 2 - 3 QPR

"Adam's having a rather good start, isn't he?" Mark pointed out. "He's already scored 2 goals in 2 Premier League appearances."

"Yes, and I bet he's player of the month," I grinned.

"Right you are," Mark couldn't stop a laugh.

QPR Player of the Month

Adam Campbell

Adam Campbell has been amazing this month and has had a good start to life at Loftus Road. He has scored 2 goals in 2 league appearances so far and also scored one against Tottenham in the Community Shield to put the Rs back in the game, although we eventually lost on penalties. Nevertheless, he looked stunning and an exciting prospect.

"The people who write this deserve medals," I pointed at the report.

Mark chuckled. "Here is our transfer report for the summer," he handed me more documents.

"Say, Mark, can't you just mash everything up into one file?" I sighed, as I took it from his hands and flipped through.

"A pretty good transfer window," Mark noted.

"I wanted to get a few more players out, and bring a particular one in," I admitted. "But that can wait until January...."

"Right." Mark nodded, before his phone played a ringtone. He picked it up quickly. "Yes, hi Pete. Yes, I'm in his office. What? Alright, alright. Thanks a lot." He put the phone in his pocket. "Stephen Warnock is out for 2 months, Andriy."

"2 months?" I shook my head. "Damnit."

"By the way..." Mark produced another piece of paper. "Here is our Europa League group. We should be able to qualify for the knockout stages, if we just try hard enough. In my opinion we'll be competing for 2nd place with Sporting Lisbon, because I'm certain Gladbach will finish top."

I nodded. An interesting group, no doubt. This would be my debut in Europe as a manager.

"Europa League matches start in two weeks," Mark informed me.
Good start to the season :)

Your Europa League fate could be decided in the first 2 games, at home to Gladbach and away to Zilina, 4 points would be great from them 2!

Just beat Gladbach 1-0 as a matter of fact. Adam Campbell! :)
How is Campbell progressing?

Progressing like a boss :P

September: Cup Challenge

"So far so good," Mark said, as he handed over the monthly report. "We are still in every cup. Maybe we can launch another cup challenge again."

"Maybe we can win a treble of the Capital One, the FA Cup, and the Europa this season," I remarked excitedly.

Mark stared at me, but didn't say anything.

Premier League
QPR 0 - 0 Liverpool

QPR 0 - 0 Southampton

Swansea 1 - 0 QPR

Europa League
QPR 1 - 0 Gladbach

Capital One Cup
Brentford 0 - 3 QPR

"We seem to be struggling for goals at the moment," Mark noted. "Djibril doesn't seem to be capable of repeating the feat of scoring 20 goals last season."

"Yes, as a matter of fact, I've been looking at other strikers," I admitted.

"What about Michael?"

"Michael Owen?" I chuckled. "You must be crazy. He's only good enough to be a backup striker or something."

QPR Player of the Month

Stephane Mbia

Andriy Shevchenko now appears to have a preference of putting Stephane Mbia more up front in the defensive midfield role, a position where Stephane has been relishing. He has put in some consistent performances this month that led us to only conceding one goal the entire September.

"Great report," I grinned. "Well, I'll see you in training Mark."

October: European Strength

"We appear to be doing okay in the league, but we're even better in the cups," said Mark, as he slid the monthly report onto my desk. "Especially the Europa League. The boys look really up for Europe."

This month, we had traveled to Slovakia and Portugal, after Gladbach came to London for our first Europa League match. We faced off against Zilina and Sporting in Slovakia and Portugal, and the results weren't as bad as I'd thought.

Premier League
QPR 3 - 1 Aston Villa

QPR 2 - 3 Arsenal

Europa League
Zilina 0 - 3 QPR

Sporting 1 - 1 QPR

Capital One Cup Fourth Round
QPR 3 - 1 Fulham

"Adam scored his first hat trick in QPR colours," Mark smiled. "He's going to be quite a player."

"Yes, yes he is," I nodded slowly.

"Jese was also rather impressive this month, for someone who only cost us 5k."

"Yes, of course, I've been noticing."

QPR Player of the Month

Julio Cesar

Julio Cesar's performances on the pitch this month ensured Queens Park Rangers only let in 6 goals in 5 games. He looked assured and calm in every match and although doubts have been raised about him after his bad form in his opening few weeks in England, we believe that he is a good player and we're lucky to have him.
Great Story! :)

November: Struggle

"We are doing so well in cups, but our league record this month has been outrageous," admitted Mark.

"I know, I know," I said. "But I'm certain things will improve. We will finish in the top half this season. We can't have one successful season, and then get relegated the next."

"Don't speak too soon," Mark warned. "Neil Warnock did pretty well to get us promoted to the Championship. He got sacked after six months."

"Well, I'm Andriy Shevchenko!" I grinned positively.

Premier League
Norwich 1 - 1 QPR

QPR 1 - 1 Manchester City

Everton 2 - 1 QPR

QPR 0 - 3 Wolves

QPR 1 - 0 Sporting

"Holding Man City to a draw is no easy feat," Mark nodded.

"Thanks to our defense," I smiled, agreeing. "Doria is probably Player of the Month again."

"You're always right, Andriy," Mark chuckled.

QPR Player of the Month

Doria put in consistent and superb performances this month, as usual. Again, we cannot find words to describe his explosive talents.

"The injury list... update me on it," I requested.

"Pete and I had a chat last week," Mark said quickly. "Ji-Sung, Samba Diakite, and Wellington Nem will all be out for a minimum of 2 months."

"Damnit," I shook my head. "Injuries, injuries, injuries..."
Adam Campbell seems to be a bargain for 10 mil huh? Good luck!
