Well it looks like I am the only American here. Don't worry either I don't say soccer....It is football to me. As you can prolly tell I am from America, but my favorite team is Arsenal. I saw them in London where my two favorite players are Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry who were both playing in that game against Newcastle. I love watching all sports unless it is cricket and poker (which is apparently considered a sport :):) ). I have loved playing Football Manager since I was introduced to it in 07. I enjoy starting as crap low level teams and try to promote them to the premier league. So far I have succeed only once and it was with the Blyth Spartans. I think that is almost all about me.

Hi. I am from Scotland. Massive supporter of Celtic (pause for abuse). But am also a fan of my local team, the mighty East Fife, and Liverpool. Love football ever since I can remember. Played FM since 2005, I get addicted to it. I have a tendency to over buy and ruin the game for myself, and have restarted games numerous times. At college studying computer animation, hopefully one day I will be able to make a good 3d match engine.
welcome mate, i used to study computers in college as well, remember spending most of my time playing FM 05/06/07 hehe. now when im not at college and have more free time i actually spend less time on FM.

Hey all, new member ere. I am a Celtic fan and i rarely go anyone else when i play FM. Went Porto once lol
I've joined coz i as i dont like to go the 'big' teams i struggle to attract the right sort of players, and the ones i do attract i usually cant keep hold of for more than a season or two.... bladdy money-bags teams keep nickin em. :O_o Same with decent Scouts/Coaches!
Anyway, good to be aboard and hope i can pick up a few tips while i'm here!

Hey Celtic fan also, it can be a real bitch, I sign amazing wonderkids and they always get unsettled because of the big clubs

when you start hearing stories that big clubs want you players you have got a better chance of keeping them if you offer them a new contract at this point rather than when the club has already bid. Furthermore, if an offer comes out the blue and when you look at the offer it says he wants to be able to discuss terms don't reject the offer, give him a new contract and hopefuly he will sign before the deadline set by the club, then you can reject the offer and he won't react badly. Finally setting the sale value of the player to 0 will cause all the clubs to bid 0 this will stop your board accepting the offer.
