Cheers mate. Hoping for the Premier League this year at least, the draw away at Barca has given me a little hope for the CL though :)

Tuesday 22nd October 2013 – Manchester City v Red Star Belgrade (Champions League Group H)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Richards, Kompany, Nastasic, Clichy; Milner, Barry, De Rossi, Nem; Silva; Cavani SUBS – Friedel, Zabaleta, Varane, Toure, Nasri, Aguero, de Jong

Red Star Starting XI – Bajkovic, Pantic, Jovanovic, Maksimovic, Mladenovic; Stojkovic, Dimitrijevic; Lazovic, Grujic, Miketic; Mudrinski SUBS – Dmitrovic, Maksimovic, Jaksic, Milivojevic, Tisma, Jovanovic, Lukovic

A stunning and dominant European performance from City. Red Star never got into the game and Joe Hart could have taken the night off. James Milner had a brilliant game on the right wing and was only denied a hat trick by the linesman’s flag late in the second half.

Final Score – Manchester City 2 (Milner 33,37) Red Star Belgrade 0

MOTM – James Milner

Attendance – 47,405

Saturday 26th October 2013 – Manchester City v Bolton (Premier League)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Richards, Kompany, Nastasic, Clichy; Milner, Toure, De Rossi, Nasri; Aguero; Cavani SUBS – Friedel, Zabaleta, Varane, Barry, Nem, Silva, de Jong

Bolton Starting XI – Bogdan, Baird, Shotton, Ream, Ricketts; Lee, Holden, Andrews, Davies, Whittaker; Fortune SUBS – Lonergan, Alonso, Knight, Berget, Ngog, Mills, Wylde

City fans came to the Etihad expecting an easy three points and City didn’t fail to deliver. As comfortable as a victory in the Premier League can be, as City had over 40 shots on goal and dominated possession from start to finish. Only negative point to the match is that Sergio Aguero will miss 3 weeks with a twisted knee.

Final Score – Manchester City 4 (Cavani 9, 29 Nastasic 33, Nasri 90+2) Bolton 0

MOTM – Edinson Cavani

Attendance – 47,405
Awesome result away at the Nou Camp. This story is awesome. Been following since the start :D

Thanks :) appreciate the support and glad you are enjoying it! Plenty more to come!
Cavani! Surprised you had to pay 55m, in my save first season he could go for 26m :P
Cavani is an amazing signing! He will lead City to glory :)
I messed around on deciding if i wanted Cavani or not, there was a point in May that he was listed by request at just £21.5m and i decided against it but once i shifted Tevez and Mario, i had to do something and they wouldn't settle for anything less :( he'd scored 2 in 2 for them already before he moved!

Wednesday 30th October 2013 – Everton v Manchester City (Capital One Cup 4th Round)

MCFC Starting XI – Friedel, Zabaleta, Varane, Lescott, Shaw; Milner, Barry, Rodwell, Nem; Adryan; Guidetti SUBS – Hart, Kompany, Richards, Toure, Nasri, Silva, Cavani

Everton Starting XI – Mucha, McLaughlin, Jagielka, Sigurosson, Oviedo; Mirallas, Osman, Gibson, Gueye; Barkley; Jelavic SUBS – Howard, Colback, Naismith, Vellios, Duffy, Anichebe, Grant

City named a weakened team full of squad players for this 4th round tie and none of them gave their manager any indication they are good enough or ready for a place in the first team with a poor performance today, that saw City suffer their first defeat in all competitions.

Final Score – Everton (Gueye 42, Anichebe 75) Manchester City 0

MOTM – Darron Gibson

Attendance – 39,571

Manager’s October Review

Another great month for the Club, as 2 wins and a draw in the League have seen us go 3 points clear at the top and also seen us take a 9 point lead over United with a game in hand. Other than the Villa game, where we lacked the usual penetration, we sent a clear message that it will take a lot to stop us winning the league this year.

In the Champions League we had a stunning draw at the Camp Nou against Barcelona and a convincing home victory against Red Star Belgrade. The performance in Spain was nothing short of exceptional and although we didn’t win, we showed we weren’t afraid of the current European Champions. Although we have done well in Europe, we were knocked out of the Capital One Cup by Everton, with none of my squad players really showing their full potential.

My player of the month goes to Edinson Cavani. The way he leads the line is different class, he has shown he was worth every penny I spent for him, and not only does he receive my recognition but he also won the Premier League Player of the Month. Matija Nastasic also won the Young Player of the Month after a string of brilliant performances alongside our captain Vincent Kompany.

For the third straight month this season, and fourth overall, I have been awarded the Premier League Manager of the Month. As always the credit goes to my players, some brilliant performances have put us in a strong place to go on to challenge for the league title and I hope the performances continue.

Saturday 2nd November 2013 – Manchester City v Stoke City (Premier League)

Stoke Starting XI – Begovic, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Huth, Wilson; Whitehead, Palacios, Wilson, Buttner; Jones, Crouch SUBS – Sorenson, Ojala, Boyce, Kightly, Walters, Cameron, Surman

Another game, another win and another clean sheet. City are on fire this season, every game just seems so comfortable and it will be up to Kinkladze to make sure the team doesn’t become complacent and continue in this rich vein of form for as long as possible.

Final Score – Manchester City 3 (Nem 11, Cavani 31,62) Stoke City 0

MOTM – Edinson Cavani

Attendance – 47,405
Cavani has been an awesome signing! Keep it up and the title is yours :D

Wednesday 6th November 2013 – Red Star Belgrade v Manchester City (Champions League Group H)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Zabaleta, Varane, Lescott, Clichy; Nasri, Barry, De Rossi, Milner; de Jong; Cavani SUBS – Friedel, Richards, Kompany, Toure, Silva, Nem, Guidetti

Red Star Starting XI – Bajkovic, Jaksic, Jovanovic, Maksimovic, Mladenovic; Milijas, Milivojevic; Lazovic, Stojkovic, Dimitrijevic; Mudrinski SUBS – Dmitrovic, Mikic, Milutinovic, Karaklajic, Tisma, Jovanovic, Lukovic

City were comfortable at 1-0 before a stunning 30 yard free kick brought the game level, but an inspired sub saw David Silva enter the game and score 2 goals to give City another 3 points in the Champions League and see them through to the next stage with two games left. James Milner also had a great game setting up all three of City’s goals.

Final Score – Red Star Belgrade 1 (Lazovic 70) Manchester City 3 (de Jong 17, Silva 89, 90+2)

MOTM – James Milner

Attendance – 51,755

Norwich Starting XI – Ruddy, Kelly, Turner, Bassong, Tierney; E Bennett, Johnson, Tettey, Bulot; Morison, Vaughan SUBS – Rudd, Snodgrass, Pilkington, di Santo, Ayala, Richardson, R Bennett

A confident performance from the league leaders secures another three points and keeps up their brilliant start to the season. Cavani lead the line as well as anyone can do and grabbed a goal within 70 seconds.

Final Score – Norwich 1 (Morison 4) Manchester City 3 (Cavani 2, Toure 39, Milner 45)

MOTM – Vincent Kompany

Attendance – 25,440
Another nice win, Cavani can't stop scoring! And it looks like Milner can't either :D
