2013-03-03 21:14#83346 neal09 : My only problem with this story: unrealism...

Why on earth is Arsenal in the CL Semis? :P

Hahahaha love it mate! There league form is poor though and they have no chance of winning the league, so there is some realism in there!

Thank goodness. If Arsenal wins the league, FM loses all credibility :P
Good luck against Arsenile!
2013-03-03 22:50#83356 Sonalexwild : Never mind Arsenal reaching the Champions League semis. Now you need to focus on the final :P
Against who could it be?

Good luck for the season end, I'm sure you can do the PL/CL double ;)

other Semi is between Barcelona and United!! Massive game if we get past Arsenal

Saturday 12th April 2014 – Manchester City v Newcastle United (Premier League)

Manchester City go into this weekend knowing that if they beat Newcastle at home and Chelsea fail to beat Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday then they will have won the Premier League title, although a win for City will all but guarantee the title coming to the Etihad as City’s goal difference is a lot better than anybody else’s.

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Richards, Varane, Lescott, Shaw; Nasri, Barry, Moutinho, Bale; de Jong; Cavani SUBS – Friedel, van der Wiel, Nastasic, De Rossi, Nem, Silva, Aguero

Newcastle Starting XI – Krul, Toure, S Taylor, Coloccini, Anita; R Taylor, Tiote, Cabaye, Gutierrez; Ba, Cisse SUBS – Sifakis, Baloy, Simpson, Lennon, Ameobi, Streete, Ferguson

Edinson Cavani’s first goal since late February has all but secured City’s second Premier League title in three years and their first under manager Georgi Kinkladze. The game was very even with both sides having chances to score but City held firm and must now wait until tomorrow to see if Chelsea drop points against Arsenal to begin to celebrate officially being Champions of England.

Final Score – Manchester City 1 (Cavani 14) Newcastle United 0

MOTM – Steven Taylor

Attendance – 47,405

Manchester City manager Georgi Kinkladze made the trip to Stamford Bridge to see if Chelsea would slip up and hand his City side the title, but Chelsea did no such thing and it now means City have an opportunity to win the League on Wednesday night at Anfield.

Champions City!

Manchester City are the Champions of England for the second time in three seasons. It took City 44 years to win the title 2 seasons ago, but this time it has only taken one season for Georgi Kinkladze to bring that happiness back to the City fans.

http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj595/MCFCDAP/Champions_zps44d575a5.png

City have controlled the League all season, having always had a strong lead and this is down to the goals of Sergio Aguero and Edinson Cavani and more importantly down to the defense and Joe Hart who have only conceded 15 goals all season.

Man City manager Georgi Kinkladze was obviously delighted after the match, “I’m ecstatic! We had a disappointing year last year but this has made up for it! To be honest, I knew we had it in the bag at Christmas, the whole squad have been brilliant and we still have a Champions League to play for so there will definitely be no taking the foot of the gas!” When asked about the next league game at Old Trafford, Kinkladze answer, “I’m sure the fans will love it, I expect them to be even louder than usual and I’m sure they will spur the team on to another victory!”

City still have a chance at getting to 100 points in the Premier League and are through to the Semi Finals of the Champions League, so there is still plenty to play for.

Saturday 19th April 2014 – Manchester United v Manchester City (Premier League)

City’s first game since winning the league title takes them to Old Trafford, home of their fierce rivals Manchester United. City fans will be sure to make a lot of noise and the players will be hoping to use that to grab another win but will also have one eye on Tuesday nights Champions League Semi Final against Arsenal.

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Richards, Varane, Nastasic, Shaw; Nasri, De Rossi, Moutinho, Bale; Silva; de Jong SUBS – Friedel, Zabaleta, Kompany, Toure, Nem, Aguero, Cavani

MUFC Starting XI – De Gea, Jones, Vidic, Evans, Baines; Fletcher, Fellaini; Nani, Rooney, Kagawa; van Persie SUBS – Lindegaard, Hernandez, Carrick, Fabio, Welbeck, Yarmolenko, Smalling

Not many would have thought United could have shut up the City fans today but they actually did! In City’s worst performance in Kinkladze reign and what will go down as his worst defeat, United put five past City and completely embarrassed the Champions.

Final Score – Manchester United 5 (Kagawa 6, van Persie 23,34,36 Carrick 80) Manchester City 1 (Cavani 60)

MOTM – Robin van Persie

Attendance – 62,885

Tuesday 22nd April 2014 – Arsenal v Manchester City (Champions League Semi Final 1st Leg)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy; Milner, Barry, Toure, Nem; Aguero; Cavani SUBS – Friedel, Richards, Nastasic, Varane, Bale, Nasri, de Jong

Arsenal Starting XI – Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Armero; Ramsey, Coquelin; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Holtby, Wilshere; Llorente SUBS – Fabianski, Walcott, Giroud, Djourou, Mertesacker, Roberts, Afobe

City took an early lead through Edinson Cavani but were then forced to play 50 minutes with only 10 men after captain Vincent Kompany was sent off for a professional foul. City have already announced they will appeal the decision but I’m sure there manager will be happier that the team have won 1-0 away in the 1st leg. In the other Semi Final, Manchester United lead Barcelona 3-2 with the 2nd leg to be played at the Camp Nou.

Final Score – Arsenal 0 Manchester City 1 (Cavani 8)

MOTM – Gareth Barry

Attendance – 60,361
Congrats on winning the league :)
Ouch! In one game you have concede 25% of the goals conceded in all the league this season :P

I hope United are going to beat Barcelona for you to have your revenge. And congratulation for the title ;)
