Great story! How come united have been so dominating? What's their squad like?
Ill post a screenshot of their signings in first season later :-( they signed Baines and Fellaini definitely though! Whats worse is we took 4 points off them!

Kinkladze Signs New Four-Year Deal

Manchester City have today announced that manager Georgi Kinkladze has agreed to a new four year contract worth £110,000 a week. Kinkladze has guided City into the Champions League Semi-Final, and although they have lost the League title to rivals United Kinkladze is convinced City will win the League next season.

Kinkladze spoke to mcfc.co.uk and said “I am delighted that the board have offered me a new contract and I can’t wait to get back to work and build for the future of the Club. This season hasn’t quite been what we wanted in the league but we will strive to do better next year. With the disappointment in the League, comes the excitement and pride of our Champions League run and I am happy the deal has been agreed just before our key 2nd leg in Turkey.”

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany lead the players in expressing their delight at Kinkladze staying at the Club, on his twitter account Kompany tweeted, “Great to see the gaffer is staying put, big things to come next year #mcfc #bringonnextseason”

Wednesday 1st May – Galatasaray v Manchester City (Champions League Semi-Final 2nd Leg)

MCFC Starting XI – Friedel, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy; Nasri, Barry, Milner, Bale; Nem; Aguero SUBS – Hart, Richards, Lugano, Kolarov, De Rossi, Silva, Tevez

Manchester City may have just signed up their manager for another 4 years but today he may be wishing he didn’t sign that contract. The team were humiliated in Turkey by a strong, well organized Galatasaray team and are sent crashing out of the tournament, and will guarantee all City win this season is the Community Shield.

Final Score – Galatasaray 4 (Elmander 12,20,38 Yilmaz 69) Manchester City 1 (Aguero 90)
Galatasaray win 6-4 on aggregate

MOTM – Johan Elmander

Attendance – 52,695

A European hangover was on view today, as Manchester City struggled for motivation during the game and although they had chances, City failed to win.

Final Score – Manchester City 0 Arsenal 0

MOTM – Laurent Koscielny

Wednesday 8th May – Queens Park Rangers v Manchester City (Premier League)

MCFC Starting XI – Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy; Nasri, Milner, De Rossi, Bale; Silva; Aguero SUBS – Friedel, Richards, Lugano, Barry, Sinclair, Nem, Tevez

QPR Starting XI – Julio Cesar, Bosingwa, Mbia, Onouha, Fabio; Park, Faurlin, Diakite, Granero; Zamora, Cisse SUBS – Lennox, Ferdinand, Nelson, Hoilett, Campbell, Mackie, Magri

The result looks convincing but for some of the game the performance wasn’t. City took a 2-0 lead but were pegged back to 2-2, with the help of a Joe Hart error, but City managed to take control in the last 15 minutes and ran away with it. Daniele De Rossi also scored his first league goal for Manchester City. With this win, City also guaranteed their Champions League qualification for next season and assured they can only finish 2nd or 3rd.

Final Score – Queens Park Rangers 2 (Cisse 48, Zamora 57) Manchester City 5 (Aguero 32, De Rossi 38, Bale 61, Sinclair 81, 90+3)

MOTM – Scott Sinclair

Attendance – 18,439

Sunday 19th May – Sunderland v Manchester City (Premier League)

MCFC Starting XI - Friedel, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy; Nasri, Milner, De Rossi, Bale; Silva; Aguero SUBS – Hart, Richards, Lugano, Barry, Sinclair, Nem, Tevez

Sunderland Starting XI – Mignolet, Eardley, Brown, O’Shea, Kilgallon; Cattermole, Frimpong; Dockal, Sessegnon, Johnson; Fletcher SUBS – Westwood, Bramble, Cuellar, Vaughan, Campbell, Sviatchenko, Rose

It may have been a disappointing season for Man City and their fans but they made sure they finished the season off in the right way and sent a message for teams to beware next year. An impressive and completely dominant performance at the Stadium of Light gave City their last 3 points of the season and made sure City finished the season 2nd.

Final Score – Sunderland 0 Manchester City 3 (Aguero 25, Nasri 73, Nem 81)

MOTM – Samir Nasri

Attendance – 48,707

Manager’s May/End of Season Review

May started with a crushing defeat in the Champions League that meant all I would win this season was the Community Shield, we went to Turkey with hopes of a Final but left having been shown up by a strong Galatasaray team. In the league we had nothing to play for but 2nd place and pride, and the pride is what spurred the players on to picking up 7 of a possible 9 points and scoring 8 goals in the final 2 games.

My player of the month is James Milner. He played well in the centre of midfield and worked hard in every game, his willingness to run and make things happen is a shining example to the rest of the team and his performances this month have made him a massive part of my plans.

I was also happy to pick up the Premier League Manager of the Month award for May, again I dedicate this to my teams efforts and even more so this month when the players knew there wasn’t much to play for in the League.

http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj595/MCFCDAP/MOTMMay_zps784818be.png

And now for my season review, the season had a few ups but a lot more downs. To start with we had a brilliant 6-0 win over Chelsea in the Community Shield and that form was transferred over to the league to start with but we slowly began to fade away. We struggled to deal with the rigors of Premier League football combined with the Champions League, but whereas our league form suffered, our Champions League form never faded until the final game.

My performance of the season came in the first knock-out stage of the Champions League where we defeated Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium 3-0. We played very well against a strong Madrid side and a penalty miss spurred the team on to win comfortably with a stunning performance from Carlos Tevez.

Player of the season for me was Vincent Kompany. He played nearly every game for us and never let his performances drop, he was a rock at the back and even contributed 4 goals to the cause. Also for a central defender he was only booked once all season, clearly showing his dominance and his ability to time his tackles at crucial moments, this is also shown by his stat of winning 88% of his tackles that he attempted. A special note here must also go to Gareth Bale who won the League’s Young Player of the Year and also Wellington Nem who came 3rd in this award. All three of the players mentioned are also in the Premier League Team of the Year.

I know mate, had no chance really, moved to concentrate on the CL and got destroyed in that haha!

Manager’s Summer Preview

After a stronger end to the season, I was looking forward to the new season and hoping for us to push United a lot more for the League title, while also repeating our strong performance in the Champions League.

I had been given a big budget for the new season as the owners are hoping for a little better, after a bit of adjusting my seasons budget will consist of £92m for transfer fees and a wage budget of £3.5m a week. Our current wage bill is around £2.95m so I have plenty of room for wages and with a players like Wayne Bridge and Roque Santa Cruz out of contract we will clear up even more space for wages.

http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj595/MCFCDAP/Budget_zpsa891fc55.png

As well as a few players leaving on free transfers, I will be looking to trim the current squad to make room for some new players. Mario Balotelli will be leaving, and I have already rejected an £8.5m bid from Porto where he spent the 2nd half of last season on loan. A few squad players will find themselves looking for new Clubs, including the likes of Javi Garcia, Aleksandar Kolarov and Edin Dzeko.

As for players coming into the Club, again I am interested in Edinson Cavani and I am looking at a possible more for Neymar but face competition from some of the biggest Clubs in Europe. I would like to add another midfielder, a left back, another central defender and will look to add a few younger players.
