Kinkladze Signs New Four-Year Deal
Manchester City have today announced that manager Georgi Kinkladze has agreed to a new four year contract worth £110,000 a week. Kinkladze has guided City into the Champions League Semi-Final, and although they have lost the League title to rivals United Kinkladze is convinced City will win the League next season.

Manager’s May/End of Season Review
May started with a crushing defeat in the Champions League that meant all I would win this season was the Community Shield, we went to Turkey with hopes of a Final but left having been shown up by a strong Galatasaray team. In the league we had nothing to play for but 2nd place and pride, and the pride is what spurred the players on to picking up 7 of a possible 9 points and scoring 8 goals in the final 2 games.
My player of the month is James Milner. He played well in the centre of midfield and worked hard in every game, his willingness to run and make things happen is a shining example to the rest of the team and his performances this month have made him a massive part of my plans.
I was also happy to pick up the Premier League Manager of the Month award for May, again I dedicate this to my teams efforts and even more so this month when the players knew there wasn’t much to play for in the League.

To start with we had a brilliant 6-0 win over Chelsea in the Community Shield and that form was transferred over to the league to start with but we slowly began to fade away. We struggled to deal with the rigors of Premier League football combined with the Champions League, but whereas our league form suffered, our Champions League form never faded until the final game.
My performance of the season came in the first knock-out stage of the Champions League where we defeated Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium 3-0. We played very well against a strong Madrid side and a penalty miss spurred the team on to win comfortably with a stunning performance from Carlos Tevez.
Player of the season for me was Vincent Kompany. He played nearly every game for us and never let his performances drop, he was a rock at the back and even contributed 4 goals to the cause. Also for a central defender he was only booked once all season, clearly showing his dominance and his ability to time his tackles at crucial moments, this is also shown by his stat of winning 88% of his tackles that he attempted. A special note here must also go to Gareth Bale who won the League’s Young Player of the Year and also Wellington Nem who came 3rd in this award. All three of the players mentioned are also in the Premier League Team of the Year.

Manager’s Summer Preview
After a stronger end to the season, I was looking forward to the new season and hoping for us to push United a lot more for the League title, while also repeating our strong performance in the Champions League.
I had been given a big budget for the new season as the owners are hoping for a little better, after a bit of adjusting my seasons budget will consist of £92m for transfer fees and a wage budget of £3.5m a week. Our current wage bill is around £2.95m so I have plenty of room for wages and with a players like Wayne Bridge and Roque Santa Cruz out of contract we will clear up even more space for wages.

As well as a few players leaving on free transfers, I will be looking to trim the current squad to make room for some new players. Mario Balotelli will be leaving, and I have already rejected an £8.5m bid from Porto where he spent the 2nd half of last season on loan. A few squad players will find themselves looking for new Clubs, including the likes of Javi Garcia, Aleksandar Kolarov and Edin Dzeko.
As for players coming into the Club, again I am interested in Edinson Cavani and I am looking at a possible more for Neymar but face competition from some of the biggest Clubs in Europe. I would like to add another midfielder, a left back, another central defender and will look to add a few younger players.
