PFC regret missed opportunities

http://www.leparisien.fr/images/2012/05/08/1989123_59505e52-989d-11e1-9b4c-00151780182c.jpg

Against Ludogorets, Paris FC's players failed to react after their defeat against Ajaccio (3-0). Yet they clearly dominated the Bulgarian team, monopolizing the ball and creating a constant danger in their six yards box but failing to get a shot on target. Sonwild's team who missed the easiest occasions on numerous attempts conceded a goal which was avoidable when, on a free kick, Mihaylov got away from his marker and put the only shot on target at the back of the net for his team.

Is Sonwild the man whose need PFC?

http://perlbal.hi-pi.com/blog/864303/header_round1/1343238835.png

My site has always talked about many sports, many competitions, many teams I like speaking on a subject followed by many but also make you discover sports or athletes with less media coverage That is why you can find on my website articles on the biggest football leagues or on a team friendly matches unknown by the general public. Sometimes I talk tennis, rugby but also curling and squash. This is why you users who visit my blog regularly, you probably were not surprised when I decided to talking about the victory of Paris FC in a friendly match in the Netherlands against a third division Dutch club. But it is not my habit to continue to write articles on the same subject, I love to make you discover another vision of sport. But now I'm writing my fifth article in less than three weeks on Paris Football Club.

However I am not a supporter of the club that plays in the French National (D3), but what obsesses me at PFC, and therefore makes me write on it at repetitions, is probably the manager. Alex Sonwild. I loved him as a player, but also as a man because I had the chance to interview three times. He is an intelligent man who has always loved football and reflects all the qualities that described his teammates since his arrival at Paris FC. The last time I contacted him he had already expressed his desire to become a manager. This idea came to him very young but it really took shape only when he realized that his playing career was not done for the glory and the professional world.

So I think this article will not be the last one I am going to write about the PFC. Today the club made a draw (1-1) with Paderborn. I myself was in the stands and I have paid many attention to the reactions of Alex, he spent most of his time standing on is feet, visibly frustrated. And this is understandable, the clumsiness of the Parisians would have upset any manager. They were unable to align five passes, and all the cross went straight into the arms of opponent goalkeeper. And what can I say about the shots ... if there had not had the penalty that allowed Yenga to equalize after the opening of the score at the 4th minute from Gonther, I doubt they would have a shot on target

Alex tries to vary, it search a solution, tries to turn on the light in a team not really motivated and that is a task that seems difficult. But Sonwild do not despair, he started the training by being near to the players, at the club he is a real dinosaur, it is now 16 years since he joined and he tried to use his knowledge of players attempting to create a strong group but a week later his plans changed and he does not hesitate to sack players, especially the older ones, in order to balance the budget. Six players have left the club and six new players and younger, less costing and have joined the ranks of Paris. New arrivals are expected, so new departure are therefore programmed.

I did not exactly answer at the question formulated in my title but I think we will soon have the answer.

To follow...

Following the draw against Paderborn, Alex Sonwild announced that the club calendar has changed, the friendly match planned for the Thursday 21st July against Belgian first division club, Mons, has been canceled. The club face instead Club Omnisport de Saint-Genieve-des-Bois. The schedule is the same and the meeting will take place at home, the fans who have already bought their tickets can then attend to the game.

Paris FC defeat C.O Saint-Geniève-des-Bois 3-0

When Sonwild replaced the match against Belgian first division club Mons by the confrontation with the " Club Omnisport de Saint-Geniève-des-Bois", he was already preparing the first league match (the 6th August against Créteil).

He knew that his team would probably loose against Mons and the moral of the team would have been very, very low. So his changing plans wasn't greeted with joy by the fans but now the team have returned to form and Sonwild will try to gain more confidence for the team against 4th division club, Raon-l'Etape.

But today's match wasn't easy for PFC. Mainly the first half where the CFA 2 (D5) club nearly opened the score, taking advantage of an error from the Parisians who lost too much possession, and missed a lot of opportunities but finally Chérif Faty, who was told that he would go before the end of the week, put Paris in front with a great header from a corner from Ibrahima Faye.

In the second half they played better, keeping possession but still not looking dangerous. Sonwild tried to solve the problem by bringing on Hugues Ayivi but the 24 year old striker played very badly once again. As he has one of the biggest salaries of the team, rumors are saying that he will leave the club but Sonwild needs to find a new striker...or maybe he can do with his wingers who scored once again. First Sitruk, then Piaulet-Siena scored beautiful goals from perfect collective actions which managed to put back a smile on Sonwild's face.

Paris FC striker Mickaël Murcy will be out for 5 to 6 months after breaking his leg during the match between his club and St. Genieve CO-des-Bois. Only true striker of the club with Yenga and Ayivi, we can probably except a new player at the club in this area and everything could change for Ayivi who was excepted to go.

Only three hours after the conformation that Mickaël Murcy's injury will keep him out for at least 5 months Paris FC announced that the contract of the striker has been terminated.

Alex Sonwild's assistant Hugo Cabouret, held a press conference this morning. Very quickly the journalists finished with their questions about the match against Club Omnisport de Saint-Genieve-des-Bois and started to evoke the departure of Murcy. And this is where Cabouret surprised the journalists by confirming the signing of Daniel Gomez. He justified the choice of selling Murcy (which was appreciated by fans)to balance the club's books that is a priority for Alex Sonwild. The opportunity to pay less for a player who was not injured for half of the season was to take and in this case he needed to sell.

What are your tactics & formations are you using for Paris FC?.

I still don't have a stable tactic but I will put a screenshot of it when it will be done.

"Paris FC is ready"

http://www.parisfootballclub.com/ressources/10275/74/paris_fc_-_creteil__3_.jpg

Those were the words of Sonwild after the 3-1 victory against fourth division club Raon-l'Etape. Paris FC clearly dominated the game which was their best one of the preseason. The players have now one week to prepare the game at Créteil and now the team seems fixed, Sonwild looks happy with his signings.

The game started perfectly for PFC, Ibrahima Faye scoring a header after 40 second in the first half. Eric Sitruk doubled the lead with a double effort and after only 8 minutes it looked like Paris would continue on this dynamic but Raon-l'Etape finally entered their match. Paris still dominated with a solid defence and an inspired midfield and also Ayivi, making his comeback, who didn't score but for once shot on target but was denied by a very good Lambay, although he couldn't stop Piaulet-Siena on Ayivi's assist. Raon-l'Etape had a small consolation when Michon scored his penalty at the 82nd minute.

August Update

With two victories, one draw and one defeat we are 7th of the league. In general I am happy with the team performance. I know the players are still adapting to my tactics and my style., we had 13 new players since July and 10 other players have quit the club so I will be patient. The major problem was the lot of occasions missed by the striker but the defence was strong and I think I have a group of 15-17 players I can build a team with.

In September we will play five games. The hardest one is in theory the one against FC Metz but before we will play the actual first and third of the league. At the end of the month they will be a match against Red Star, our rivals and finally we will play Quevilly, I think we should win this two last games and I hope we can finish the month with 15 points.

US Creteil-Lusitanos 1-2 Paris FC

Match Highlights
I was very pleased with our performance. The players where strong and the goal scored by Ayivi was superb. This will be very good for the team moral and especially for Ayivi who had a hard preseason, came on at the 84th and scored three minutes later. But once again we should have scored more, my strikers missed beautiful opportunities.

Paris FC 1-1 EFC Frejus Saint-Raphael

Match Highlights
It was a hard game, Fréjus played well and we had a very bad first half. In the second half we played better but once again we should have scored more. Finally it was M'Vila who equalized in the latest seconds of the game after less than 10 minutes on the pitch.

SR Colmar 3-0 Paris FC

Match Highlights
I've never seen the team playing so bad before. We started to play a bit better after my tactical changes but when Colmar scored their second goal all was finish and we were lucky to concede only one more goal.

Paris FC 3-0 SAS Epinal

Match Highlights
I was a bit worried at the beginning of the game, Epinal latest result was a 5-1 victory against Red Star and they started very well the game. But after only twenty minutes they seemed tired and we dominated the rest of the match. We won 3-0 but we want superb. Today we didn't had has much occasions than usual but we scored them, and the last goal was superb, watch it :D.

Paris gonna be split in two!

September Update

Two defeats after two games and three victories in the three next games. It was a good month, the start was a bit hard but we were playing big teams and our reaction was superb as we beat a good team (Metz), our rivals (Red Star) and Quevilly. We achieved my objective of finishing the month with 15 points as we are 6th with 16 points.

In October we will play five games. Luzenac are the only team better placed than us but we have played once less. The game at Amiens will not be easy but we should win against Vannes, Martigue and Cherbourg. I hope we have 27 points at the end of the month.

Paris FC 1-3 Besancon

Match Highlights
Six victories in six matches now for Besançon. So I am not so disappointed, we didn't play very well but Besançon were brilliant.

Aviron Bayonnais 1-0 Paris FC

Match Highlights
I knew Bayonne was a good team but I hoped a reaction after Besançon game and I didn't have it. We played very badly and we need to react against Metz because we are only three points ahead the relegation zone.

FC Metz 1-2 Paris FC

Match Highlights
This was a superb victory. We dominated the game, played well but I want now the team to confirm in the last two games of the month who are winnable, and we need to win them if I want to attain my objective of 15 points at the end of September.

Paris FC 2-1 Red Star 93

Match Highlights
To win the derby against Red Star is nice but it's even nicer when you dominate the game. The players were superb and I'm very happy with this win. It's the first time we win two games in a row and now we need to make it three against Quevilly who are last with 4 points.

Paris FC 5-2 US Quevilly

Match Highlights
Three victory in a row for the first time and we did it with class. Today game was incredible and there was superb goals, watch the highlights. It was our best game since I am manager but now we need to play as well than today against a bigger team.
