What a month! 4 wins out of 5 in the league and narrowly missing out on getting through to the next round of the Cup, being knocked out by Premiership West Brom on penalties. I couldn’t have dreamed for a better start. Lets hope the table looks similar to that come the end of the season!

Player of the month - David Edgar

Another fine month for David Edgar as he beat off close completion again from Charlie Austin and Junior Stanislas. With Jason Shackell picking up a long-term injury David has had to step it up big time this month and he's done it incredibly, being Man of the Match 4 out of the 6 games, well done David!

September Awards

Burnley manager Graham Alexander has won the Championship Manager of the month award after an unbeaten month that saw his team win 4 of their 5 games.

Burnley's Canadian centre back David Edgar also picked up the Championship player of the month award. Edgar has been outstanding all season and Burnley fans will hope this good form can carry on through the season.

2013-01-06 11:15#75689 manchesterblue97 : Adryan is an awesome signing for any team, you've done really well to get him.

Cheers pal. I've had to retrain him to play as a forward in my game as I don't use AMC. He's scored a few goals and his value has already gone up to 2.5 million.

You're lucky I'm following, your team beat mine on New Years Day ;)

Not with Jones in charge.
You're doing a great job with Burnley. I'm no good at FM either, but what really matters is the quality of the story, which is obviously high. :D

Thanks! I'm trying not to rush through my game and make my story as interesting and eye-catching as possible. :)

I have to be honest, even though we sit 2nd in the table I’m quite disappointed with this months results. Even though we only lost once we only won once as well, with 3 draws in between. Hopefully next month we can convert some of these draws into wins. The one worrying thing at the minute is the amount of long term injuries we have to key players - at the minute there are 4 in total and the list just keeps getting bigger. Fingers crossed we can come out of the next few games unscathed and we can start getting some players back fit.

Player of the month - Chris McCann

http://images.clicklancashire.com/admin/article/articleimages/1268909114-Chris_McCann.jpg

Chris McCann has been excellent this month both in his defensive duties and attacking. He's chipped in with a few goals as well as help the team out when we are under heavy pressure. Very well deserved.

CONTRACT REBEL MCCANN TURNS DOWN LATEST OFFER

Reports from Burnley suggest that star midfield Chris McCann has turned down Burnley’s latest contract offer, with the midfielder’s current contract running out at the end of the season. Sky Sports News understands the key factor to this latest setback is money, with McCann apparently wanting 26k a week, more than double his current 12k a week contract. Burnley skipper Graham Alexander had this to say on the matter:

“I can confirm that Burnley have put together a very generous package for Chris which has been turned down. We will keep negotiating with Chris over the coming months to try and sort out a new contract. There’s plenty of time between now and June so watch this space.”

Very good story so far! I think the Graham Alexander way of going about the story is fantastic! keep it up!

Cheers Smithy! Would be very happy if Grezza was manager of Burnley IRL one day, top guy.

BURNLEYS INJURY PROBLEMS CONTINUE

http://e2.365dm.com/11/02/660x350/David-Edgar_2564442.jpg

Sky Sports News can confirm that Burnley defender David Edgar will be out for at least 2 months after suffering a damaged knee cartilage in Canada's match against the Czech Republic.

Edgar, who has been arguably Burnley's star man this season joins a growing list of injured players at Burnley, with Junior Stanislas, Danny Ings, Ben Mee, Keith Treacey and Kieron Trippier all already out for lengthy periods of time.

A much better month. We now sit top of the table with a 4 point gap and if we hadn't have conceded those 2 late goals to Charlton it would have been 7! The home game vs. Leicester City was a real highlight, we could have easily scored 10 in that game. There are 7 games next months so fingers crossed we pick up no new injuries.

Player of the month - Jason Shackell

http://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/cms_images/player/266376_231x264.jpg

The Captain is back from his long-term injury and he's back with a bang. Jason has had a really good month, helping the team to 4 wins out of 6. Hopefully this type of form can now carry on till the end of the season.
I've been having some computer problems recently which has stopped me updating this story as much as I would like. :(
