Game data is not found error

I keep on getting this error. What am I missing? I tried installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, nothing works.

Your Genie Scout has not been updated for the latest patch. Keep checking to find out when Genie Scout does get updated.

I downloaded the one updated on 8 January 2013 - v1.00 beta 11 b338. Tried uninstalling the previous version so that I know I'll only have the files that came along with the latest update. That didn't work though.

I am able to run the program, what won't work though is when I try to load a game. The loading process freezes at "Finding Offsets". At 2/3 of the loading bar, the error message never fails to pop up.

I found that most users have no problem using the updated program and I didn't have any problems using it as well before I upgraded my motherboard from an older Intel board with an ECS one a few days ago. Could this have any bearing?

just in case save fm
close the game
restart gs
start fm
load your save
now try to load it in gs
sometimes it might work

Tried to run gs as admin?
Got the same error as the op last night, and for me it was over after I did the steps I explained, but might be that i was just lucky, or the error was just random cause mine is working fine again

Hi! Thanks for your help. I tried your tips and they still won't fix the issue. I was really hoping that Running GS as admin would make it work but it didn't.

Keep the solutions coming though, I'm no programmer so for me, at this point anything could work.

tried uninstalling fm2013 and re-downloading it from steam, uninstalling geniescout and reinstalling it again with latest updates and all.. nothing seems to work..

I did some tests and here are my findings.

>Genie failed to load when I had editor files enabled.
>Genie successfully loaded a game when I disabled ALL the editor files.
>Genie was still able to successfully load a game when I enabled some of the editor files.

Therefore, the error is being caused by a savegame with editor files enabled but I still do not know what about editor files can cause the problem.

Can you guys confirm by disabling all your editor files and see if it works for you?

An updated version will be released today. Please try it (beta 12) and let me know whether it works.
