I have the same issue. I've tried running GS using Admin Rights, however the issue persists.
Not sure where to turn to next.

try loading a game without any editor data loaded, see if it works

Thanks mate........how do I disable the Editor Data?

- Game Preferences
- Extra Files?

You can only deselect data editor files when starting a new game.. it's after this screen, just make sure you check the change button.

So try starting a new game without data editor files, try genie, it should work. Then try one by one activating your data editor files and identify which one causes the error.
