Southampton had a bad day against Aston Villa today in the Capital One Cup,and saw them get knocked out in the 3rd round well below the expectations for the board and fans alike, Rickie Lambert scored the first goal in the game it was a great goal and made the players morals shoot up for the second half.

However the Aston Villa team were no way going to bow down and showed tremendous spirit as they equalized and scored another in 5 minutes of the game and on the 67th minute scored the third,Southampton loosing here this afternoon will not be good for the next match against Liverpool with the teams morals are very low.

Welcome again for another news of football where Liverpool brush aside the vulnerable Southampton.
Southampton lost 2-1 against Liverpool away, with Steven Gerrard scored two against Boruc the Southampton goalkeeper was not in the best of moods with his defending,although Southampton did manage to pull one back on the 87th minute, but could not do any more to cause any disruptions to Liverpool plans in the Barclays League.
