Bookies make Steve McClaren as the overwhelming Favourite with some sources even suggesting that the FC Twente man has already signed a deal and 'it is a matter of time' before he is introduced to the fans. Newcastle fans are understandable shocked that McClaren is being lined up for a role which they think he is not capable of.

Steve McClaren unveiled as Boss of Newcastle United, he signs a 4 year deal worth $22,500 a week. McClaren said at the press conference, 'I will not make the same mistake with Newcastle than I did with England, use a Brolly while the players are playing. It is thought that McClaren has been told he must sell to buy so it will be a hectic January for the Newcastle Boss.
