Transfer News:

In this transfer market we were quite busy and we made some very interesting signings and had quite a few players leave the club:

IN:

Jean Marie Dongou

This young man is very talented and has immense potential of 5 stars! He has been sent on loan to Inverness CT to develop as a player. Dongou is a striker and some say he is the next Messi. Dongou is a possible replacement for Olivier Giroud but for now he needs to get first team experience and needs to mature and develop.

Raphael Varane:

Varane is one of the worlds youngest centre backs who can also play as a defensive midfielder. Not only is he a quality player now but he has very good potential too. A wonderful signing for our club. He is going to be the worlds best centre back in 3 years time. We already have 4 experienced centre backs at the club so he can learn quite a lot from them.

Andrea Poli

Poli, what a player he will be, his potential is good, he's a fast learner and definitely an addition for the future though not really for now. Poli is the replacement for Mikel Arteta who left the club to join Athletic.

Vidic

We brought him in to make the defense meaner and stronger, our defense was far too soft and so hopefully Vidic and his experience will provide exactly what we need. Vidic has the height and the strength too!

The following players have been sold. Olivier Giroud (Real Madrid), Monreal( Juve) and Arteta (Athletic Bilbao). We wish them all the best in their careers.

Rahpael, the young maestro

What Varane said in this interview has been translated into English as he was speaking French. Currently Raphael is learning English.

R:Welcome to the club Raphael. So can you tell us a bit about your time at Madrid, what is was like and what you're looking forward to at Arsenal.

V: Thank you very much for the warm welcome. My time at Real Madrid was splendid. I gained a lot of first team experience and they treated me very well, despite my age. For a coach to play me in numerous El Classico's against the so called 'best in the world' Messi is incredible. I want to thank Jose and Real for everything they've done for me and I wish them all the best. When my agent told me I was joining Arsenal I was pleased, but when I found out I was playing under the king himself I was over the moon, especially as he's French too!

R: What do you think of English football?

VEnglish football is the best football in the world without a doubt. It is somehow similar to Spanish football in the way that the tempo is very very quick. I feel in English football there's lot more team work and everyone is required to work hard but in most Spanish teams you have one player saving them, but then again you have Tottenham who are currently being saved by Gareth Bale *laughs*

R: Ah so you know Bale, are you looking forward to playing against him because most defenders fear him because of his pace.

V: No doubt he's a good player but you can't compare him to Ronaldo, at least not yet and I've played against Ronaldo and with him. I'm looking forward to playing against Bale at least it will be interesting to see if he will be able to get past me so easily.

R: you definitely have the ability to stop him, you've stopped f****** Messi.. oops. Apologies to all our viewers for that.

V: *laughs* Desole mis amis!

Bale lashes out at Varane

Tottenham star Gareth Bale has hit out at Raphael Varane after the Arsenal claimed Tottenham were a one man team and that he could stop Bale. Bale is said to be fuming over such comments and took twitter to respond to Varane's comments

Twitter: @GarethBale11: Who does this Varane guy think he is saying we're a one man team and that he can stop me, he's a t***. I hope he's reading this.

Varane did eventually reply on his twitter saying, this has been translated into English:

Twitter: "RVarane: See you on the pitch Bale, or maybe in the hospital who knows. Everyone is entitled to his opinion and I said mine what you going to do about it?

We are very sure this won't be the last we hear from the two players over the new beef.
Brilliant write-up on Varane and Bale. :D

ALL HELL HAS BROKEN LOOSE

Spurs manager Andre Villas Boas has openly criticized Thierry Henry claiming he has no control over what his players say. He also went on to say that Varane should shut up because he was talking rubbish and and that Bale is better than Ronaldo.

AVB then openly invited Henry to make a bet of $3000 to see who will finish higher, Spurs or Arsenal. Henry accepted this bet but was furious at Andre Villas Boas ad bale he also had somethings to tell Boas.

'' He says I have no control over my players, no, I allow my players to speak their mind while he thinks its ok for his player to call mine a t***. I have accepted his bet as that money is going to charity. ''

This has increased the beef already existing between the two clubs.

The Dilema

Very strangely, I've been linked with Madrid and Barcelona. They haven't made any formal attempt to sign me it's really getting to me and it's getting to the players too. I already left the club once I can't leave them again. Even the board are afraid I may not keep the job at the end of the season and won't offer me a contract. I owe these boys something. Since I came in they've been working so hard and playing so well, me leaving them would be heartbreaking. The problem is the board. Why won't they offer me a new contract? I mean we're in the capital one cup final we're 2nd. In the FA Cup quarter final, in the round of 16 in the champions league. Everything seems to be going so well, my job is very secure to the board but for some reason they won't offer me a new contract. What is going on here?

That's when I found out why they were unwilling to offer me a new contract. They wanted Wenger back, I remember now. Just before sacking Wenger they announced that one way or the other he'll still be connected to them. So if Wenger is coming that means I'm leaving.....this is very horrible. Surely there must be a way both Wenger and I can have non-playing roles in Arsenal. He could be the director of football or head of youth. Wenger is at Barca now. He's doing wonders for them he should just stay there. I can't lose this job, I promised my little girl, the boys and the loyal gunners we are going to win something and I'll never ever leave again, what's going to happen now.....

thanks jason!
Loving the Varane vs Bale thing, It would be very interesting to see you go to Madrid, but going to Barcelona would completely ruin the save :P. I hope you can stay at Arsenal, I love the signing of Varnae and If you do stay, I'll definitely be interested in his development into a world class player! :D

The trophy drought is over

We've done it, I promised the lads that we would win a trophy and that's exactly what we did last night. The whole dressing room is buzzing, however we're not done, we will still win another trophy this season. In the game vs Norwich in the capital one cup final we completely dominated, the team stuck to our pre-match tactics which was to play with no pressure (despite the immense pressure) and it worked. Varane and Jagielka were solid at the back and Walcott and Chamberlain were brilliant in the attack, even getting on the score-sheet. Well done for Norwich to even getting to the final.

This morning I received the following texts:

Pires: Bonjour mon amis, well done 7 year drought is over.

Tony Adams: Oh hail the King!

Freddie Ljunberg: My mate has done it! Congrats Bro!

We must focus, as we still have 3 other trophies we can win, especially the FA Cup one of my favorite trophies of all time.

The King Has Done It

Arsenal's manager Thierry Henry has led them to victory in the capital one cup final against Norwich. This victory has ended a 7 year trophy drought that the club were be tormented by. The Frenchman seemed totally relaxed during and before the game fielding what he called '' an average team''. This shows the confidence he has in all his players to deliver when it matters and they certainly did against Norwich beating them 3-1.

Goalscorers:
Luciano Becchio 28
Jagielka(Pen)40
Walcott 58
Chamberlain 71

Congratulations to Arsenal on their victory.
