West Brom have today announced the signing of former Chelsea defender Paulo Ferreira on a free transfer.


Ferreira was released earlier on in the season and The Baggies have tied the 33 year old down on a deal until the end of the season worth around £11.25k a week. Cyriile Regis gave his opinion why he signed him and said, "The bloke is a fantastic defender and the main reason for signing him is to have backup and cover for the fullback positions, but if he works hard in training and impresses in matches, he could soon find himself in the starting line up".
