I might not be able to post tonight as its my birthday today but if i get a quick 15 minutes then ill do the pre season results but it will be shot. Thanks guys.

Pre-Season

We haven’t done anything special for pre-season but I wanted to blend the team together and pick up some decent results along the way.

We picked up 3 good results but then we lost expectedly to Southampton.

Oskar Martin to Retire

Eastleigh legend Oskar Martin will retire at the end of the season. The 33 year old has 3 years left on his contract but wants to call it a day early. Oskar wants to stay in football and Eastleigh town are rumoured to be offering their striker a job at the club.

Transfers

I have brought in some key players that will help us stay up this season in the Championship.

I have spent a lot of money investing in the squad and I believe all of these signings will have an impact this season. Carey is a great young player and I snapped him up after he was released from Arsenal. The signings are a mixture of youth and experience so this blend I believe will keep us up this season.

Eastleigh FC-The Rise

This small club located in the south of England has never really had anything to shout about. Being located to big clubs like Portsmouth and Southampton has made it tough for the club to bring in fans. The club constantly finished around mid-table in the Blue Square Bet north. After their 6th season in mid-table the board decided it was time for a change. The club terminated the contract of their manager and hired a young talented manager who they hoped could find light at the end of the tunnel for Eastleigh…….
In stepped Matt Wells. He had no managerial experience but he wanted to take a chance and see what he could do with Eastleigh Town FC.
The Silverlake stadium was in a poor condition. It only had 1 stand and the pitch was awful. When Matt Wells took charge for the first time he won his first game. What was to come after that for the club was remarkable……..
They got promoted in their first season but they were in a dire financial trouble so they needed help and they needed it fast. All of a sudden Dragons Den star Peter Jones stepped in to help with the running of the club.
He promised the fans success and he was backing Matt Wells all the way. He invested heavily in the squad but they just missed out on the play-off. The next season they took the league by storm, finishing with 101 points and they were promoted into the football league. A new dawn was appearing.
Eastleigh were tipped for relegation but managed to finish 3rd and were promoted into league 1. People thought it was going to be a step to far but oh now they were wrong. Eastleigh finished with 96 points and were promoted to the championship for the first time.
Matt Wells has defied the odds at Eastleigh but now his toughest season is to come but will he be able to carry on the fairy-tale rise of Eastleigh FC……..

August-September

I am content with the start to the season and we have had some good results.

The results look bad but the performances have been great. We are struggling for goals but once Makengo and Hope come back from injury we will improve. The win against Villa was amazing and we deserved it all the way. The only trouble is as we are playing in Bournemouth we only get around 2,000 fans and that will not help the team at all.

League Table

I am happy with our position but we will need to improve if we are going to stay up this season.
League position doesn't lie, not bad for your league debut season.

Ino but I reckon we might start to struggle.

Wells rejects Sunderland

Eastleigh manager Matt Wells has rejected an offer from Sunderland to be their new manager. Matt said the job was tempting but he did not want to leave Eastleigh at the moment. He also added that he would only leave Eastleigh for a job in the top flight of English football.
