This game against rivals Portland got off to a brilliant start when Hurtardo drove home the goal after just 1 minute from a corner. Eddie Johnson came close to doubling the league but his effort hit the cross bar. Eddie Johnson did a second though a smart finish under the on rushing keeper after 47 minutes. A third for Seattle and a second for Hurtado put the game beyond worry 73 Minutes in. Portland did get one back though after 88 Minutes through Ryan Johnson,who then added another on the 92 minute, but Seattle saw the match out. Bush was enraged that his team didn't manage to see out the clean sheet, but he got his win.

Shalrie Joseph, returned after a 3 week absense from injury and found his way to the first team. Rosales opened the scoring after 14 minutes with a close range finish. The game stopped for a potentially serious to Marc Burch 24 minutes in. Sammy Ochoa drove home a wonder shot after 48 minutes to double the lead. Substitute Charlie Rugg put the game beyond doubt after 81 minutes, before Sammy Ochoa scored on the break to make it 4 -0. In a game that New England had most of the chances, Bush was delighted with the surprise win.

Seattle Drawn in Group D For The NACL


Seattle will be joined by CD Marathon from Honduras and Williams Connection of Trinidad and Tobago.
"I can't take this group for granted" Bush reported. "Having played against the Trinidad national team i know that they have a fair few talented players. I'm fully expecting to progress, but it won't be easy."

Fellow MLS competitors; Houston Dynamo (Group C), Toronto FC (Group C), LA Galaxy (Group E) and Real Salt Lake (Group H) will all take part in the NACL.

Group matches will start on the 1st August 2012.

Chivas USA interested in Sounders forward




Seattle striker Sammy Ochoa is being targeted by Chivas USA manager Jose Luis-Sanchez Sola.

Sanchez Sola is said to be very keen to add to the squad at the Home Depot Centre and believes the striker will fit the bill perfectly.

Ochoa has made 13 appearances for Seattle this season scoring 4 goals.

He was drafted to the MLS in 2011 by Seattle, as a 1st round pick.

Bush has claimed that Sammy will only be sold for the right price.

Two More Added To Seattle's Disabled List




Marc Burch and Eriq Zavaleta have today been placed on the disabled list according the George Bush. The two latest injuries puts the list up to 7.

Two new faces will have to be brought it for the away tie in Salt Lake City.

Bush Brings In Backroom Staff


Since sacking his previous assistant for "negative reasons", Bush has been searching for a replacement. Exactly one month afterwards Bush brings in three new Backroom Staff.

Haha, it's another weird American rule.
If it's only a short injury, they are placed on this list. They are unregistered and can be replaced but the their wage still counts and they only stay on the list for 8 weeks (i think).
Once they come off they need registering again.

Tiffert to return to first team


Christian Tiffert will be fit to play for the Seattle first team after being absent from injury since May 2012. His timely return is much needed as Bush is running out of player to pick.
Tiffert will be available to play against New York Red Bulls

Tiffet Reaches 5 card limit


In his first game back from Injury against New York, Christian Tiffert picked up his fifth yellow card of the campaign and wil face a one match ban.
He will therefore be missing for the Colorado Fixture.
