Loveable ex-American president idiot, has today been confirmed the manager of the Seattle Sounders.
After Bush lost all American confidence, he decided to win back their hearts by taking one of their soccer teams to the top. The said soccer team in question is the Seattle Sounders.
When asked to make a statement on his decision to join Seattle, he was reported to say;
"It's the closest to Washington i want to be without being in Washington. Hey, is that a lolly pop?"

More on this later.

BREAKING;
Seattle Sounders have signed re-generated player Stuart Powers in the Weighted Lottery.
Bush was reportedly betting, on what he thought, was the National Lottery, and was naturally surprised when he found out he had signed a real player.

Just a small amount of league fixtures for the month of March, but after a disappointing Pre-Season, Bush was eager to get going. In a game where Seattle dominated possession Eddie Johnson thought he had a perfect debut when he found the net on the 31st minute, only for it to flagged for offside.
Kyle Bekker opened the scoring with a 25 yard volley from a corner. It was youngster Stuart Powers who finally equalised for Seattle with a fierce strike after 61 minutes. Powers nearly had a debut to savour as he cross was cleared off the line by the defender. But in the end the game finished 1 goal a piece.

Bush went with an unchanged side with the one that drew the week before.
Eddie Johnson slide in after 15 minutes to find the net, but he was deemed to have moved a fraction too early and the flag was raised. But he did turn provider as he crossed the ball for Rosales to finally breal the deadlock. Seattle doubled their lead after 66 minutes after Ianni headed in a corner. Brian Ching powered home a goal just 6 minutes later after a Housten break. This proved to be the last major action of the game which ended 2-1.

Another packed crowd in Washington saw a unchanged side continue Bush's unbeaten streak.
Eddie Johnson finally got off the mark after 17 minutes with a header from close range. The much anticipated striker Windolowski equalised just before half time. The game then petred out in the second half with chances being few and far between for both sides.

Bush was overly pleased with Ianni's performances this month, he claims that "it's people like him that will help us win in Vietnam".

Breaking News;

The American F.A can today confirm that George W Bush is the Manager if the United States Manager. A spokesman for the F.A said; "Having seen his start at Seattle we deemed him the appropriate choice. Besides, he can't screw over America twice? Right?"

Bush was reported to be elated at this news, until he found out that it was the American Football team he was managing, and not America as a whole.
"I just wanted my opportunity back, and the way the letter was written was very mis-leading. Still, i'll take on the American Challenge. Next stop Presidency"

As you can see, Seattle(topleft) is the furthest from Washington D.C(search for the star on the right) than any other American MLS clubs. I think you've mistaken Washington the state for Washington D.C the city and capital. :P

Anyway, nice idea, and I'm following. :) Good start so far.

Thanks for the heads-up, but remember this is George Bush, he's an Idiot.
I personally thought Seattle was the closest to Washington, but i'll pass it off as a Bush mistake ;)

Seattle Sounders Western Conference 2012

Opportunities for Seattle came aplenty, but Johnson, Powers and Joseph all failed to convert. Against the run of play, Rafael scored a half-volley on the break. The woodwork saved D.C on countless occasions with Eddie Johnson striking the post numerous times when he really should have scored.

It took just 16 minutes for Seattle to open the scoring in Washington, with Eddie Johnson scoring a acute diving header beating defender and keeper. Just after the half hour mark, Chris Klute brought down Christian Tiffert in what appeared to be an outside of the area scrap, but the ref deemed it inside and the penalty was given. Eddie Johnson stepped up to slot in the penalty for his and Seattle's second. Late into the second half a horrendous error from Marcus Hahnemann led to an own goal, but it was no more than a consolation. Another 3 points in the bag for the Sounders.

Bush was delighted with the win that he claimed Seattle didn't deserve. with only 4 shots at goal compared to Chicago's 13, but they certainly took their chances. With a win that sees the sounders move up to 5th, they found themselves behind after just 42 seconds when Guillermo Franco stole through to slot home. Marc Burch's brilliant curling free kick effort equalised on 17 minutes. Just before the half hour mark Christian Tiffert broke from a free kick and found the corner from the edge of the box. Patrick Ianni wrapped up the points with a close range header to continue his own good form.
