Sascha Lewandowski Sacked By Leverkusen

Today Sascha Lewandowski has been sacked with immediate effect by the Leverkusen board. Supposedly Sascha Lewandowski had a bust up with Sami Hyypia during training today and the board have acted swiftly to prevent the issue from spreading further through the team. Tensions between Sascha Lewandowski and Sami Hyypia have been increasing over the last two months with Sascha Lewandowski believing he should have been hired as the main man and was not happy with job sharing with Hyypia who he believed was not good enough.

It is unknown what happened during the bust up and what will happen to Hyppia but today is a worrying one for Leverkusen who will be desperate to move on quickly but with Leverkusen on the field decline continuing it is unknown what manager will be willing to join them after so much controversy.

Hyypia Has Confirmed He Will Stay As Assistant Manager

Hyppia’s recent statement earlier today claiming he will remain the assistant manager at Bayer Leverkusen sparks debate about who will be the next manager at Leverkusen. Leverkusen’s fans have expressed outrage at how the managerial situation is being treated by the clubs chairman. The club have released this statement soon after Hyypia released his statement.

“Earlier today Hyypia released a statement claiming he will be kept on as assistant manager only. We can confirm this is the case and the hunt for a new manager goes on. We have some people in mind but as it stands we have not made any contact with clubs about the possibility of hiring their manager. We will be doing this in the near future.”

A very peculiar statement by the Leverkusen board as it is not yet known who they will be hiring.

The favourites are as stands:
David Moyes 2/1 Sam Allardyce 4/1 Michael Ballack 10/1

David Moyes Distances Hismself From Leverkusen Job

http://ballsybanter.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Moyes.jpg

Today David Moyes has openly told the press that he is not and will not be intrested in becoming the next Leverkusen under any cirumstances. He claims he enjoys the Premier League to much and beleives the Premier League is by far a stronger league and he is enjoying his career at Everton to much to leave already.

This is another blow for Leverkusen, as their main manager target is not intrested in joining them. Things are starting to get dire for Leverkusen as time is running out on hiring a new manager.

Finally some good news for the Bayer Leverkusen faithful as fan favourite Michael Ballack has supposedly been flown into Germany by the chairman to discuss becoming the new manager full time.

Michael Ballack was born on the 26th September 1976 in East Germany. Ballack’s breakthrough in his soon to be successful career came at Leverkusen. Ballack broke into the first team in an attacking midfield role at the age of 22 and scored 27 league goals and 9 goals in Europe, in three seasons for Leverkusen. Ballack was part of the well-known ‘Bayer Neverkusen’ side that lost the league in the year 2000 on the final day against Unterhaching 2-0 at homedespite the fact they not only needed a draw to win the league but the fact that they should of beat them comfortably. The following year they were dubbed the ‘Triple Horror Show’ as they lost a 5point lead in the final three games in the league, lost in the Champions League 2-1 to Madrid and also lost 4-2 to Schalke in the German Cup.

In 2002 Ballack joined Bayer Munich for a fee of 12.9 million Euros. Ballack won the double in his first season with Munich but lost both trophies to Werder Bremen the following season. For the next two seasons Ballack was part of the Munich side that won back to back doubles.

In 2006 Ballack joined Chelsea and enjoyed a successful career with the London club under manager Jose Mourinho winning; three FA Cups, one Premier League, one Carling Cup and also one Community Shield. This all ended in 2010 when it was announced Ballack’s contract would not be renewed.

Ballack became a Leverkusen legend when he rejoined Bayer Leverkusen for two years before retiring at the age of 35 in 2012.
Are you going to be Ballack :P :D!
