Brilliant job Krupesh, absolutely brilliant, and it's even better winning it in the 89th minute. Oh, poor Liverpool :(

This Glenn Tham lad sounds like a charming commentator ;)

European Glory

WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE! WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE! CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE. And not that Europa League trophy but the European Champions Clubs’ Cup! This feeling of elation, joy and amazement will last for a long time. We have a squad with an average age of just 22 and yet they have the calmness, the ability and mentality to win the biggest club trophy.

For the players I am absolutely thrilled. There is no doubt in my mind that players like Tom Ince and John Ruddy would not have won this trophy if they were still in England but the way they have played this season they deserve this glory and more! The Champions League Dream Team was named and to top it off there were 5 of my players named as starters.

As well as having 5 players in the dream team, Dejan Lovren won Champions League Best Player.

We are champions of Europe and we will come back even harder next season to keep hold of our crown. Retaining this wonderful trophy is not easy and teams like Barcelona are expected to do so. We have a tough road ahead of us but there is no doubt we are just getting stronger and stronger.

End of Season Review

After such an amazing season, I sat in my office and thought it only fair to share with the fans all around the world a review of how the season went. We had a tough start to the season but won the Trophée des Champions and began life in Ligue 1 unbeaten. Our charge towards the title ended with a record of 30-5-3, winning the title by 20 points.

Goalkeeper of the Year

Team of the Year

We have completed the treble! Something only done by few clubs in the world and we have now joined that elite group. This season has been the best in the clubs history and it is something to build on. I can’t wait for the next season to start because there is so much to look forward to.
Nooo not Liverpool - still happy for you

From Day One

Wednesday 25th July 2012. The day I joined Olympique Lyonnais will go down in history. As arrogant as it may sound, I believe myself to be the best manager Lyon have had. To me, this is the greatest club in the world and I believe we have proven we are a new force to be reckoned with all over.

We could go in to any game and I would back our boys to come out victorious. Nobody has expected us to be the team we are now. I won the first trophy at the club in my very first game, albeit it was just the Trophee des Champions. It was the start of an era in Lyon and since then we have won 9 trophies, with the most recent being the most special one.

Our form in Ligue 1 before I took over was getting worse and we had to contend with the Europa League in my first season. Manchester City were the blue block standing in our way and knocked us to the wayside. No worries though because I knew we would be in the Champions League the next season. We drew that blue block again and yet again they knocked us to the wayside. This was frustrating, as I know we could have beaten them. The following season, this season, we drew them again. 3 years in a row was no fluke and I knew this year would be the year. A draw in Manchester and a 3-1 win in Lyon meant we finally became the block in their way. That win was just the start of an amazing knockout round for us as we finally won the Champions League trophy for the first ever time in this glorious club’s history.

On the domestic front we have swept everything in our path. I was fortunate enough to bring home the league title in the first season and have since reclaimed the title the following 2 years. It seems every year since the first title in 2013 it has been easier to reclaim the trophy. 2015 is the year we won our 10th Ligue 1 title and we are now level with our rivals Saint-Etienne. One more title win and we will finally eclipse their record.

This club has a great future, each and every player here will get better and better, making this Lyon team one that will be able to compete on the front line in every competition for years to come. Recently I have found my thoughts wandering to international management. I think I would like to build a legacy in club management and then move on and take a nation to the number 1 ranking in the world. Winning the World Cup is another aim for me and I believe if I am given the opportunity at any top international side I will have the ability to do so.
Congratulations on the European triumph! Sounds like one heck of a journey you've had. :D

Is It Time To Move On?

Since taking over at Olympique Lyonnais I have never had eyes for another job. AC Milan came knocking, Paris St Germain followed and most recently Inter Milan offered me a job. I came to this club wanting to make them a worldwide force, not just European. We have won 3 Ligue 1 titles; we have won the Coupe de la Ligue and we have won the Coupe de France. This summer, I brought home the coveted Champions League trophy after that last minute winner from Will Hughes. The players I have brought in have been exceptional, the relationship I have with them all is fantastic and I know it would be tough to leave any behind.

Until today, I had never contemplated taking a job at a different club. Until today, I wanted to stay at Olympique Lyonnais for many more years to come. Now I am not so sure. I believe a once in a lifetime opportunity has arisen. The opportunity to manage one of the greatest clubs to have ever played the beautiful game has been offered to me on a plate.

I made a commitment to this club and to the fans. I have invested in this club for the future and I am looking forward to managing some of the players that are to join the club in the future. But I could very well build a legacy at this new club and become an even bigger, stronger, better manager.

This club was founded in 1902 and is owned and operated by its members, a tradition that has happened since the club’s inception. They are the 3rd most valuable club in the world and have never been relegated from the league in which they play. Domestically, the club has won 32 league titles and 29 cups while in Europe they have won 15 titles. The stadium holds 85,454 people and is one of the most famous football grounds in the world.

Nicknamed Los Vikingos, Los Merengues and more famously Los Blancos, Real Madrid finished 2nd in La Liga and Jose Mourinho departed the club to take charge at Manchester United following the retirement of legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.

With a transfer budget of €41,000,000 and a wage budget of €2.7 million, I have the manouverability to bring in some top class players and improve what is already considered a great squad whilst also getting rid of some dead wood. Nobody would ever turn down an opportunity to manage this club but I have major doubts about taking this job.

I have the opportunity to bring in the new era of Galacticos but then I am on the way to creating a different era at Lyon. I have never been as torn with a decision in front of me and it is at a time like this I need some advice.

So to all FMScouters, I turn to you to give me your opinion on the opportunity ahead of me. The story would take a new direction and I want to know what you would like to see. Ultimately the decision does lie with me but you are my supporters and your opinion matters to me. It has been maybe 4 days in real life since I have got the offer from Madrid but have been building up to this post. This is my 1000th post and I hope you can all contribute to it. I will next be able to update on Friday so don't forget about my story til then.
#AlwaysLoyal

You've started building a club. It's time to show the fans that you can build a legacy! :)

Congrats on your 1000th post.

Personally, I'd really like you to give Lyon that final Ligue 1 title. I understand Real Madrid is more than just a club but Lyon is where it's at for me. One More Year!!! Then you can look at giving international football a go ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
