Pellegrini confirmed as new City Manager
"It was inevitable that ex-Malaga boss, Manuel Pellegrini was going to replace Roberto Mancini in the Head Coach role at Manchester City. News of it had been circulating for weeks, but now, says before the official start on the footballing season, Manchester City, have a manager.
No Details have been released of the contract itself, but it is believed that Pellegrini has grabbed himself a two-year deal.
Pellegrini has already confirmed that two unidentified players will be leaving the club, but he has not stated who as of yet. Many expect the likes of Dzeko and Barry to leave, to create money and space for players such as Bale, and Neymar who the Manchester City board have claimed interest in. A few days into Manuel Pellegrini's reign of the Blue side of Manchester, and he has already been making changes, he has already contacted his ex-team, Malaga, declaring interest in bringing over Isco, and Camacho. As well as two incoming players, he has also confirmed that Joleon Lescott, and Gareth Barry have been placed on the Transfer List, and it has been said that Wayne Bridge, currently on loan at Brighton, will be released when he returns. He has also confirmed, that Roque Santa Cruz (On loan at Pellegrini's ex-club Malaga) will not be under his management again when he returns to City, clearly saying that Santa Cruz's fate is of a similar one to Wayne Bridges.
