Sky Sports: Dunfermline Athletic have just confirmed that Jim Jefferies has resigned as Manager

They have also stated that they would be looking for a new manager straight away

The main candidate for that of Thomas Watson

The other candidates are: Dick Campbell, Allan Johnstone and Paul Hartley

Dunfermline Athletic Football Club have confirmed that Thomas Watson has been named as manager.

His first game will be against be against Forfar Athletic

Fans are to question what the board were thinking when they appointed him.

They will be hoping he can steer them back into the SPL


So Season started well with our results

August:



Dunfermline 4-3 Forfar (Challenge Cup)

Dunfermline 4-1 E Stirling (League Cup)

Dunfermline 2-1 Dumbarton

Livingston 1-5 Dunfermline (Challenge Cup)

Got to December and here's the league table:

Had a good run of results in January



The league table didn't change much since December



Brought in Michael Paton on a free transfer
February and March

Most of the results went our way except two against Celtic and Partick



The table it was easy enough to stay top of the league



5 Games left hopefully we can get the results and get promoted

News coming out of East End Park:

Dunfermline have confirmed that they have signed 3 youngsters on a pre-contract
The signings are:
Ross Davidson and Mark Taylor from Kilmarnock
and Scott Ferries from Aberdeen
Pre-season




So we started our pre-season with a loss against Anderlecht 2-1,then we got beat off of Motherwell
Our third friendly was against Kilmarnock and we drew 2-2, then we played Aberdeen and drew 1-1, and then we went to our fifth friendly against Bonnyrigg Rose and won 4-1, our last friendly was against Aston Villa and lost 2-1
August

Didn't start the season to brightly with 1 draw and 4 losses
