*****Sorry for the repost but I made a huge mistake in adding a poll and now it is listed as that in the manager stories so please bear with me I'm still learning my way round FMSCOUT; I apologise.*****

If FM were a girl I would be the worst cheater in the world; I can quit a new game in the first 2 matches simply if the team are just terrible or if I can't stand the board.

So I would say this is about my 15th new game in FM13 and probably the 4th or 5th with Chelsea FC. Now that I look at it they are my favorite EPL club because they have such a good youth system and most importantly 4 Nigerians which is 4 more than all the other big clubs.

Now as we start all you Chelsea fans should get accustomed to the sound of this name as you will lose your voice once or twice during this tale because the name will be on your lips for the rest of the season. Jowo Obahor or BaBa; simple name. You'll be informed on an irregular basis but due to the length of one of my FM sessions this could span a few weeks to a whole 2 months in game time.

Transfer Policy ----> Young players, 15-21 with a few exceptions. I'm also partial to formerly famous players like Gattuso, Beckham and the lot.

Pre-season here we come!

For our first order of business we ignore Roman and Zenden because in Nigeria superiors and coworkers are often disrespected and I am proud to continue that tradition but I still promise old Roman that I'll be EPL Champion just because he's got the money and I want a nice big fat transfer budget on the plate to work with.

As stated in my above transfer policy I'll be looking to bring in 3 of the best young attacking midfielders I know and can afford; Deuolofeu, Sterling and (Ross) Effanga and if you are to Google Ross Efanga's heritage you'll know why he made it into the top 3 must buys also known as BaBa's Top 3 Bargains.

However before I continue I must first snub the media before laying down my first 3 transfers. The next 2 will be Alen Halilovic and any of the Argentina Under 20s (simply the best) despite there only being about 8 or 7 of them to choose from. I had to soften Sterling and Effanga up with some press talk before I swooped in like a vulture but Deulofeu on the other hand has a buy-out clause which means (Buy Out Clause/48 months)= no money spent in my opinion. After tense negotiations with the board my proposed ideas of a new ground and a bigger transfer budget were shot down like my character in Black Ops multi-player; simply appalling to think that Roman expects an EPL title with Fernando Torres as my back-up striker and Turnbull to back-up Petr. However despite the blip I gather myself and the headlines read "Baba Praises Effanga/Sterling." I was tempted for the better half of 30 seconds when the name Insigne popped up but when compared to Deulofeu he was quickly tossed aside. After one mouse click it appears that Brendan Rodgers is getting worked up with my banter with Sterling; as if he does not have enough to worry about with his cannibal.

Despite not being able to wrap up even one of the transfers before the first game of the pre-season against Jeonbuk we look set with some reserve side players and under 18s featuring in the form of Kiwomya, Feruz, Bertrand, Romeu, Cahill and Loftus-Cheek. Sadly the Chelsea boat seems to be sinking after only 7 minutes of play with an error from Kiwomya leading to a successful counter attack from Jeonbuk. But lo and behold if not only for Kiwomya to redeem himself through Feruz, with a precise pass to set Feruz up for a simple dribble past a Jeonbuk defender and a clean finish to the near post. *In the background the fans can be heard chanting the name Ba! Ba! Ba! Ba! Ba! Ba! Ba! Ba!*. Who again but Alex Kiwomya with a brilliant diving header on a Bertrand cross! *Once more the name Ba rings around the stadium*. After another Chelsea corner is knocked out of the box by the Jeonbuk center-backs; Azipilicueta latches onto it and rifles a shot back into the box headed for the top left corner only to meet the imposing figure of the goalie who only manages to knock it down to his feet were Feruz heads it into goal on the bounce. Things are looking up for Chelsea so far. But its been disallowed! The fans make themselves known with a few profane words aimed the ref with the least being a few death threats. Bertrand gets the booking for standing by Feruz's second and the fans sound on.

After the half-time whistle the big boys take to the field to finish up the job and put Jeonbuk to rest. However it appears that Mata and Oscar have been left out much to the dismay of the Chelsea faithful who are not shy with their opinions of BaBa's tactics. In order to appease the fans BaBa takes off Lampard in favor of the young Brazilian Oscar. Just when it looked like Chlesea were finally ready to bury the game after an uneventful second half Fernando Torres chested the ball down beautifully after beating the offside trap only to lack the pace and ball control to keep the ball from gently rolling into the keeper's arms; BaBa does not hide his disappointment.

After a dissapointing showing from the "Big Bad Blues" BaBa stated in the following press conference that he asked Zenden to take the full-time team talk and was quite dissapointed with the senior team's reaction to the talk stating "We cannot call our selves a first rate team when our senior players seem only too happy to rest on the laurels of their younger counter-parts when they should be leading he charge and we are going to have to work on that all pre-season if we plan on lifting that trophy and whit this showing we might need to delve into the transfer market to beef-up the squad in terms of ability unless we plan on beating Fergie and Wenger with 16 year old's but aside from all the doom and gloom Alex and Islam showed that they might be ready to make the leap to the Reserve side but right now only for about 45 minutes apiece until they show their consistency at that level.

After the match we had some more negotiating to do to get Effanga and Sterling to make the jump after sealing the contract with Deulofeu.

Headline: "Deulofeu to sign for the Mighty Blues."

Deulofeu might go on loan but I would appreciate an audience's opinion on this one because in my last Arsenal save he was outstanding without even getting an assist or goal; what to do? Loan or not because not means First-Team rotation player to me.

Sterling mentioned the move was too good to ignore whilst Effanga signed the contract and is ready to pack his bags and move house.

After the scrap against Jeonbuk we face the New England Revolution with the sole goal coming from captain John Terry. BaBa declined to comment on the game.

Breaking News!!!!! *****Monday 30th July 7:30 PM: Sterling and Effanga put pen to paper!"

Our next match much like the one again New England Revolution was handled by Boudewijn Zenden who ensured anothe one goal win this time with Romeu getting the win for us.

Well thats it so far and we're only 18 days into it, wish me luck and please if you can tell other's about this, remember the more support and views this gets the more likely it is to continue however not saying I'll stop after this post. Bye then and remember the Nigerian Way.
Nice Jowo, make sure you add screenshots and pictures!
Will definitely be following this tale.....

Thanks for the advice James.
Nice start this, really well-written, but try to put pictures and things like that in to break it up a bit, make it look a little less daunting for readers :)

Just like Africa magic; we are now back with
Part 2: BaBa takes on Abramovich

Hello once again ladies and gentleman we have Jowo aka BaBa here once again and we’re going to start off with a few quick fire updates to our format.
Firstly were going to have a segment which will not be regular; called BaBa’s tips and this post’s will be on transfers; in my opinion players to buy are those from Latin America and the Iberian region (Portugal & Spain) because they always have the golden ticket which is *drum roll* the glorious buyout clause which makes transfers that much easier because you don’t have to submit bid after bid only for it to be rejected however try to keep it reasonable because there is no point in trying to get Messi to your club unless you are Manchester City or if your lucky Chelsea. Remember always search for *Buy-Out” clauses it saves you time and energy and can be your key to that signing with only a few hours left in the transfer window.
Onto the game now; I did some thinking whilst I was away from FM for some time and decided against loaning out Deulofeu because in my opinion he could secure a First Team spot at mid-table to relegation-clubs in the EPL therefore I decided he will be making a name for himself in the Champions league group stages and Capital One & FA cup.

I had a few scuffles with Abramovich in his office concerning my demands for the club and he caved in at the mention of the word rivals as his hate for Manchester United is deep set in his blood but he was adamant in his refusal to spray some Money on the club's transfer budget and I left the office with a bloody nose (Apparanetly Roman can box). On the other side of Stamford Bridge Varane has put in some consistent but average performances which are outstanding for a 19 year old whilst Sterling has been mainly out of the picture for some time with an injury but Effanga and Deulofeu have stepped up and are first-team back-up material now; not bad eh?

Newspapers around the world screamed: "The Traitor.", "The Prodigal Son." and worst of all "Satan wears the Number 9 jersey." following Falcao's return to the club he left only a few hours ago to score 2 goals alongside Frank Lampardwho also got a brace. I noted that as we walked down the tunnel COurtois who I know as a happy-go-lucky lad was looking gloomy after he had a few words with Deigo Simeone and as I walked past him he pulled me aside to whisper "Boss you got to get me out of here; they keyed my car just before the match and my chaffeur quit when he heard about Radamel; bring me back by January or I'm leaving this club.' to which I replied "No worries mate."

The club has 2 serious injuries:
Juan Mata; yes you read right it is Juan Mata out and with a fractured arm to boot for the next 6 weeks.
Paulo Ferreira out getting a Hernia treated for the next 3 weeks and on – top of that he feels homesick therefore BaBa and Zenden would like to announce that Chelsea’s next transfer will be that of that the illustrious Ricardo Carvalho who will make a return to Stamford Bridge and also hopefully your hearts too.

Proof of our loss of 2 exceptional players.

Still out of action for me. :(

This is my match schedule and as you can see we've had some impressive victories and some disheartening draws but not 1 loss in open play. The best match in my opinon was the match against Norwich because in previous saves Grant Holt has led the charge that always demolished me regardless of what team I was and now I feel a sense of accomplishment.

***Press Conferences held by BaBa and some choice players (Falcao, Ba and Deulofeu).***

Falcao = RF Ba = DB Deulofeu = GD BaBa = JO

So what's it been like for you guys these past few matches?

JO: I think our attacking trio over here have done an exceptional job of bagging the goals fr us when they are needed especially our Colombian maestro over here.

RF: Thanks coach.

Any ideas with what has been key to success lately?

GD: Our team has really come together and seem to be more like a band of brothers than a bunch of skilled individuals and linking up with Demba Ba has been quite sensational so far and as the league table shows we are reaping the benefits.

DB: *Hoarse voice* Gerard has just been marvelous on the other side of the pitch and it looks like I need to step up the game to keep my spot with him in contention; sorry for my lack of input but I lost my voice after clebrating my first Chelsea goal but I assure you that there will be plenty more of the goals and hopefully the voice will return for another press conference.

JO: Well there you have it the boys are feeling good and they promise you more goals; what more could you ask for.

***End of Press Conference held at Stamford Bridge.***

Finally we'll round up with a little *Transfer Info*

We focused on some youngsters mostly in the midfield to attacking postions and we had too offload Cahill to Juventus for 10 Million (Pounds) and Benayoun to AC Milan 1.6 Million (Pounds) whilst we brough our Signing of the Summer Radamel Falcao in at a whopping 52 Million (Pounds) and I know that I could have gotten him cheaper but the deal was done with 2hrs on the clock left to spare and money was not a problem at that point however sadly David Olatokunbo Alaba the Austrian Nigerian went to our rivals Manchester United for about 18 Million (Pounds) which really got me annoyed because Abramovich refused to lay out the cash for Alaba but he paid 50 Million (Pounds) for Fernando Torres! Anyway lastly take a look at the league table and tell me what you think.

Comments appreciated; this is BaBa saying goodnight and Up Chelsea!

Oh and if you spot any errors please point them out to me and I will fix them as sson as I possibly can. Once again BaBa says bye-bye and remember The Nigerian Way "Chelsea Ni Baje".

Liking your writing style. A little bit text heavy but I'm enjoying it nonetheless. Mistake on "soon" at the bottom. ;)

A good start there staying unbeaten. Just a suggestion mate, like Paddy says your updates are a lot of text and it would be good if you split them up into two updates or even three as it makes it easier to read

Sorry about the amount of text I just write like that but I'll try to restyle my writing.

Can I put videos in this? Sorry guys but after giving Bandicam a quick run it appears we will not be having any of that because the program makes FM lag terribly ad I can't have that so until a better alternative comes out or someone suggests a new program fro me to use it's gonna be Screenshots and Text all the way. - BaBa.
Brilliantly written but as every reader before me has suggested, don't stuff too much in one update.

To put videos in your posts - this bb codes page here explains everything you need to know - as well as a ton of other stuff that will be very useful for your story.

Good luck with the rest of it. :)

I really want to say thanks for all the support but I have bad new guys; my main computer which contains my save of our current story will not come on and I fear it might have to be formatted so please bear with me whilst I try and get it fixed but in the mean time take a look at the story "Becks, Like Father Like Son." really good and short and simple. BaBa is sorry to disappoint but until this post is deleted the story will be on hold.

Once again I am so sorry. But remember The Nigerian Way.

You are reading "From Lagos to Chelsea".
