Miller, what a legend.
Great results mate you're flying!
Toon - Yeah, looks like he is my Bale

K1rups - Thanks man! Just hope that Blackpool lose a game

Joel Lynch Injured

We have just heard that Nottingham defender Joel Lynch has had a hip injury and will be out for 3 months. The injury came about on the training pitch, when Lynch tried to tackle Ishmael Miller but he landed awkwardly. Lynch hasn't been a first team regular this season, but he is Forest's only reserve Centre Back.

We interviewed Forest's manager Mikhail Amod - "Well obviously the injury is bad for us. Joel (Lynch) is a good player and a rock at the back. Now with him gone we only have two natural centre backs. This could hinder our performance. But the boys will have to push on. Maybe someone will have to learn to play centre half for now."

We asked Amod if he intends on signing any defenders in January.

"Well I might have to sign one or two defenders to strengthen our defense."
Joel Lynch has made two appearances in the League this season.

October in Review

Now that we were second, a good run of results mean we can push for 1st and establish a lead. However I was concerned that my defense would get tired because I only have 5 defenders since Lynch got injured.

At the beginning of the month Robbie Findley came to my office. He looked serious as if he wanted to leave.

Amod
Findley

“Yes Robbie?”
“Boss, I feel like I deserve a place in the team. I have worked hard in training and I feel as though if I don’t play here I need to move.”
“Okay”
“What do you mean?”
“You will play. I was impressed with you in training. But if you don’t perform, you are back to square one”
“Thanks boss”

nPower Championship
Notts Forest vs Ipswich

2 – 1

Goals – Ishmael Miller and Paul Anderson

Man of the Match – Damien Delany (Ipswich)

Not the best of performances, but we got the result. Miller’s form is incredible.

nPower Championship
Millwall vs Notts Forest

3 – 5

Goals – Ishmael Miller (2), Robbie Findley, Wes Morgan, and Paul Anderson

Man of the Match – Paul Anderson

Red Card – Nadjim Abdou (Millwall)

What a game! But it was horrible defending on my part. We took a 3 goal lead by half time thanks to Findley, Morgan and Anderson. However in the 60th, 70th and 81st minute Millwall scored out of nowhere! I brought on Ishmael Miller and he scored the winner in the 88th minute. He later sealed the win in the 91st minute.

nPower Championship
Notts Forest vs Leicester

4 – 2

Goals – Robbie Findley, Luke Chambers, Wes Morgan and Paul Anderson

Man of the Match – Paul Anderson

A good win but we gave away a two goal lead yet again. No doubt in January I need to sign some defenders. Robbie Findley has been on form since he asked to play more.
?

nPower Championship
Barnsley vs Notts Forest

2 – 2

Goals – David McGoldrick (2)

Man of the Match – Jacob Butterfield (Barnsley)

Red Card – Wes Morgan

I was lucky to get a draw. The way we played was horrible. Luckily I brought on McGoldrick in the 60th minute and he scored in the 87th and 91st minute. Wes Morgan got sent off which means we only have one centre back in the team!

Capital One Cup
Burnley vs Notts Forest

1 – 3

Goals – Chris Gunter, Ishmael Miller and Paul Anderson

Man of the Match – Paul Anderson

A good win and we through to the Quarter Finals! We scored all 3 goals before the 20th minute. Jay Rodríguez got a consolation goal in the 70th minute. Maybe we can win the Capital One Cup?

nPower Championship
Notts Forest vs Birmingham

3 – 1

Goals – Ishmael Miller (2) and Paul Anderson

Man of the Match – Ishmael Miller

Red Card – Lee Camp

What a bad start I had. My goalkeeper got sent off in the 10th minute! I really thought the game had ended there. But Miller got a goal in the 40th minute. Birmingham came back in the 48th minute but goals from Anderson and Miller sealed the victory!
Good solid month here!!

End of October

It has been a great month, and now my unbeaten run has gone to 11 matches. We are also in the Quarter-Final with Blackpool in the Capital One Cup. I am happy to announce that I have been named Manager of the Month as well.

Player of the Month
This goes to Ishmael Miller again. He has been sensational up front, and has scored 16 in 16 for me.

Goal of the Month
Paul Anderson – A lovely solo effort, running from the halfway line, cutting in and blasting the ball into top corner.
Please note the next month update will only come next weekend as I am writing exams this week!

Youth Facility Upgrade

Recent reports reveal that Nottingham Forest have announced an upgrade for their Youth Facilities. The news comes in after sources revealed that manager, Mikhail Amod, wants to start focusing on his youth. The upgrade will cost around 1.5 million pounds and will be complete by October 2012, a year from now.

"I wanted the board to finance the upgrade because it is important for the club to develop players. We are not like Chelsea, City or Madrid who just buy players who have already developed. We want to start a legacy and philosophy of growing young gifted players into mature world-class talents.
Obviously the youth players will take a while to come in, but it will be worthwhile."
