Zola leaves Watford

Shock news coming from Watford, manager Gianfranco Zola has resigned from the club claiming 'there are better options'. SkyBet have released a list of the odds for next permanent manager:

2/1 Steve Bould
5/1 Eric Cantona
10/1 David Beckham
22/1 Billy Davies
30/1 Tony Pulis
37/1 Owen Coyle
50/1 Simon Grayson
66/1 Steve McClaren
66/1 Avram Grant
80/1 Ryan Giggs
94/1 Sven Goran Eriksson
100/1 Martin O'Neill
400/1 Jose Mourinho

Who will take over at Vicarage Road?
Jose Mourinho probably :P
Cantona! He'll karate kick the crap out of the rest of them :P

Brazilian takes over at Watford

In a shock appointment, former Brazilian international Roberto Carlos has been the man chosen to take The Hornets forward. "Yeah, he's an international superstar. As a player. He doesn't know the English game as well as someone like Billy Davies does. Mr Carlos has a lot to prove." Said Watford supporter spokesperson Neil Graham. "Errr, I am err, delighted to be errr, the new err, manager of this err, great club" Were the only english words we could get out of Carlos but fans hope the language barrier will not effect the teams performances this season.

Pre-Season

We were mostly against non-league opposition and I was a bit angry that we drew with Kidderminster which we actually didn't deserve to win and a narrow loss against Wigan but I was very angry that we lost 4-0 to QPR at home.

One player I have high hopes for this season is Alex Geijo who scored 6 goals in pre-season.

Wow never saw Carlos coming! :)

August Review

With the squad still gelling together this has been a decent month for us. Alex Geijo opened his goalscoring tally for the season with 4 goals in the Capital One Cup 1st round against Wycombe. He won the game on the opening game of the nPower Championship season with a great hattrick against Huddersfield which we won 3-1. We then came back to reality with a 2-0 loss to Burnley and then drew against Play-off contenders Middlesborough 1-1 with Josh McEachran helping us out with an own goal. We then ran riot against Burton Albion in the 2nd round of the Capital One Cup with Alex Geijo scoring two and new signing Peguy Luyindula grabbing 2 goals, one of them being a wonderful lob from 30 yards out.

We now sit in 13th place but it is early days and hopefully once the players have gelled we can become very likely promotion contenders.

Once again Alex Geijo is Player of the Month after grabbing 9 goals in 5 games this month.

Roberto Carlos was one of my favourite players ever :D Good luck man. Hopefully you can do that little bit better than the real life Watford :P

September Review

A big improvement this month, we moved up to 8th place, 5 places ahead of where we were in August. The month started with a very entertaining 3-3 draw with Cardiff City, although, I was annoyed because whenever we took the lead, we were pegged back. That happened 3 times but I was extremely impressed with our attacking display, Matej Vydra scored one, with Fernando Forestieri getting the other two. We then moved onto play-off hopefuls Hull City, which was a very boring game which ended 1-1 with Forestieri getting our one goal. Then came a game which I didn't really know what was going on! We were against Leicester City, and by the time the game reached 45 minutes we were winning 5-0 and then nothing happened! Alex Geijo returned to his August form with two goals in the opening 6 minutes, then Fernando Forestieri grabbed his goal which made it his 4th goal in 3 games, our center midfielder Almen Abdi scored his first in a Watford shirt and then Matej Vydra completed the rout on 41 minutes, what really pleased me in this game wasn't the attacking aspect but the way we shut Leicester out all game. We then played against Nottingham Forest which we narrowly won with an 83rd minute goal from Forestieri who got another goal earlier on and Alex Geijo got one. Then we came up against Southampton in the 3rd round of the Capital One Cup and Forestieri capitalized on The Saints weak defensive 4 and grabbed two goals which turned out to be vital as we won 2-1! It was a shame we couldn't end a good month on a high as we lost 2-1 to Ipswich Town with Alex Geijo grabbing our only goal of that game.

The Player of the Month goes to Fernando Forestieri who scored 8 goals in 5 games

Watford announce new kits

A huge thanks to Seni for making my new kits. They all have our old sponsor Football Manager, branded by Nike. For the home kit, it includes black and yellow stripes, and for the away kit it has pink and green stripes and the alternate kit includes red and orange stripes, once again a huge thanks to Seni for making these.

All very good results, unlucky against Ispwhich though but overal a good month! Also very nice new kits :)

October Review

So we find ourselves 1 point away from the play-offs with a decent goal difference going into November. So the month started off with a narrow win against Bolton in which Matej Vydra got his 7th goal of the season. Another tight game came next against Charlton where we won 2-1 with both goals from Alex Geijo. After this came a VERY entertaining match against Barnsley which ended 6-4 to us, although we were winning 4-0 and then it became 4-4 but then we scored two which sealed the win, also Fernando Forestieri scored a hattrick, other goals came from Matej Vydra and Alex Geijo (2). Then a bad performance against Blackpool cost us our play-off spot after we lost 2-1 but it deserved to be a draw. Matej Vydra scored our only goal in this game. We then drew against Brighton which knocked us further down the table 2-2 Forestieri and Vydra scored in this match. We also play Swansea in the quarter finals of the Capital One Cup after beating Tranmere Rovers 2-1 with goals from Forestieri and Alex Geijo.

Again the Player of the Month goes to Fernando Forestieri who scored 5 goals in 6 games

Some good results :D cracking game versus Barnsley! Keep this up! Watford to Europe ;)
Looking good, hopefully you don't do a Zola at the last minute!
6-4 :O Dafuq happened there? Vydra and Forestieri seem to be doing well. KUTGW
