he is quality. I needed a good mc and he was the best and cheapest. I had money to burn so it bought I'd go for it

Schmeichel is still showing how rich Marid are with another 3 big name signings.

Firstly there is James Rodriguez who signed from Liverpool for £25.5m. The 24 year old was brought in to rotate and fight for a place in the team at the key position of AMC with Mesut Ozil. The Columbian started his career at Argentine side Banfield before making a £4.4m move to Porto. At Porto he won the Euro Cup, the Portugese Title and the Portugese Cup all in 2011. He then made a £28.5m to Liverpool in 2014 and went on to make 28 appearances for the Merseyside club, scoring 3 goals.


The next signing was Xherdan Shaquiri from Bayern for a fee of £12m. The Swiss winger will provide stiff competition for Chamberlain for that right wing position. The young winger started his career at Basel before making a £10.5m move to Bayern Munich. At Bayern he struggled to make a big impact. However he did manage to win 2 league titles while he was there and one German Super cup.


The third signing is Kevin Volland, also from Bayern. The German striker joins on a fee of £20m. The player was only at Bayern for 1 year after joining from Hoffenheim for £14.5m. The young forward played 28 games for Bayern last year, scoring 5 goals. However the player has never won a trophy in his career and he hopes to change this by coming to Madrid.
