Rablador - Thanks! Barca better look out ;)

Krups - Thanks :D I think shocking is a bit if an understatement ;)
Great story mate and great updates. Good job getting the Real job and good luck there.
20th June

First day in the job and my squad at the minute:

Some quality players but it needs strengthening in all areas. I have no depth to it. Many players are not good enough for Real Madrid and they will be leaving.
When i joined the club i received a massive 115m in transfer budget. Now the club has increased that to a huge 225m and over 1 million in wages left. Here is a financial view of the club:

I will be looking to bring in a lot of players. Experienced and young.
Once again Denmark losses to their archrivals Spain in a big international tournament.

£114 M !!

That’s a lot of money. Any chance I can borrow some for my C.D. Constància team?

Northwood - Haha ;) if i could give you some. i would. Unfortunatley i cannot so ill spend it all myself :P

King padster - There will be a lot of signings

3 join Madrid

Just a week into his job, Schmeichel has shown he is not afraid to spend money. He has already confirmed the signing of 3 big names to the Bernabeu.

His first signing was Alex Oxlade Chamberlain from Arsenal for a fee of £32m. The pacey winger was brought in due to his huge potential and current ability to embarrass defenders. Chamberlain started his career at Southampton from a school boy. He went on to make 29 appearances for the club, scoring 9 goals. In the 2011/12 season Arsenal bought him a £12m. It was clear this boy had a lot of potential. In his first season he played 16 games for Arsenal scoring 2 goals. Overall he managed to appear 78 times for Arsenal and managed to rack up a total of 16 goals. He has only won one trophy and that was the 2014 English Community Shield.

The next signing was Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea for £13.5m. The young Belgian impressed Schmeichel and it is another young talent. The former Chelsea striker was bought to Stanford Bridge in the 2011/12 season from Belgian Pro League side Anderlecht for £10.25m. After making just 8 appearances in his first season he went on loan to West Brom the next year. In all his seasons in the Premier League he never managed to score more than 6 goals in a single season but despite this Schmeichel still has faith he can perform. Lukaku was part of the 2014 Chelsea side that won the Premier League Title and Capital One cup. He also won the FA cup in 2015 with the london side.

The third signing was experienced central midfielder Micheal Carrick. The former Manchester United player was brought in on a free transfer after his contract at Old Trafford expired. The player is 34 years old and it is believed he was bought in to bring experience where it mattered. The midfielder has won a number of trophies: 5 BPL titles, 1 World Club Championship, 2 Champions Leagues, 1 Europa League, 1 Capital One Cup and 4 Community Shields.

Some absolutely fantastic signings there, mate.

Wait... Michael Carrick?! :))

I'm not really a fan of quitting a job so soon after taking it but I am looking forward to see what you can accomplish with Real. This should be very interesting.

Keep on writing mate :)

Real signal of intent here. Setting a precedent for success though as i'm sure spending won't end here. I'm waiting for that big "Galactico" signing in typical Merengues fashion

Madrid Splash the Cash!

Real Madrid have announced the signing of IIkay Gundogan for a huge £40m! Still only 24, the German central midfielder was attracting interest from Barcelona and Manchester United but Real were the team to swoop in and take the opportunity. Gundogan joined Dortmund from Nurnberg for just £3.5m. The player went on to make 106 appearances for Dortmund and scored 24 goals. He looks set to have a very bright future with Madrid. In his career he has won 3 trophies. The Bundesliga in 2012 along with the German Cup. Also he won the German Cup for a second time in 2014.
Despite the big spending Schmeichel has stated he is "Far from done with regards to signings"

Your signature shows my exact reaction to that transfer!
