ENGLAND APPOINT THOMAS WILLIAMS AS NEW MANAGER

England international team have today announced their new manager as Thomas Williams, the Everton manager. This comes after Roy Hodgson resigned from the position after their quarter final defeat in the hands of Spain in the World Cup, which in the end was won by hosts Brazil. Williams has been in charge for 2 years now of Everton and has led them to 2 Capital One Cup wins, 1 FA Cup win, 1 Premier League title and a Champions League semi final. He also won manager of the year in season 2013/14. The England fans are very pleased with this arrival after viewing his success at club level. Her is a short passage of his first press conference as England manager.

Their is a lot of pressure on international managers to hit the ground running and produce results from the off. Are you confident that you will be able to get a good start as England manager?

I am very confident we can hit the ground running.

In taking this job you add considerably to what must be a hectic schedule. Are you confident of handling the dual role in both club and international team.

I wouldnt have accepted the challenge if i wasn't confident i could handle it.

Some people suggest that you may be likely to call upon your Everton players for England duty. What is your response to that?

Its something that makes sense, if the player is good enough and im familiar with what they can do, then it can only help.
