Jason:Thanks, Seoul was a toughie but we came out pretty well (keep following to find out how we did). To be honest I had absolutely nothing to do with the promotion, as it had just happened irl. Hope you follow.

Some in and some out as Dyer builds his backroom

FC Tokyo have today announced a full list of staff transfers, including that of former manager Ranko Popovic, as new manager Mike Dyer planes to build his backroom “squad” just how he wants it. The departures list includes scouts Satoru Asari, Rihei Yuasa and Takuyaki Tateishi as well as physio Takahiro Ogaki. The list of arrivals features names such as Ayres Alberquerque, Wesley Carvalho and Satoshi Okura all joining the club in scouting roles. New FC Tokyo manager Mike Dyer had this to say yesterday “Well, the large list of departures is unfortunately needed for this club to grow. When I had my initial interview with the board of FC Tokyo, I stated to them that I had ambitions for this club to grow and become great, but to do this changes would have to be made, and they would have to back me and provide support. The board agreed to this, and thus we are sitting here today with three great new staff members that will ensure that Fc Tokyo continues to grow. As a club, we would like to thank the departing members of staff that have made way for our new contingent. You have all been great servants of the club and will not be forgotten. Thank You for all that you have done.”
With changes coming thick and fast since Mike Dyer took over the reins at FC Tokyo a few days ago, it will be interesting to see what other changes take place before the start of the season proper.
And while I am at it, a big shout out to Louis who made this fantastic banner that I will use for the duration of the story.

you can read and comment on his story here:

Awesome banner by Louis!

Nice to see you've gotten Wesley Carvalho, he's quite a good scout :)

Glenn:Thanks man, the banner will be making more of an appearance once the season starts. Wesley Carvalho is quite a good scout, and definitely better than what I had available when i first started. Hope you follow.

FC Tokyo sign Sasaki

FC Tokyo have today snapped up 28 year old right midfielder Hayato Sasaki from Gamba Osaka, the current champions of the J League. The Right midfielder has been signed to bolster an already decent squad.

Sasaki in action for his former club; Gamba Osaka
The 28 year old has joined for an estimated fee of 240 thousand pounds. With Sasaki joining, it has to be believed that a few players will be leaving the club. Japan Today will have all the news from the club when it breaks.
