Bargain Basement!

Just noticed that everyone is talkin about signing players that are already well known, so no you didn't discover them!
Players like balotelli witsel and vidal are all over 5 million and sohuld be common knowledge from previous games.

This is for people maybe playing as lower league teams such as championship or league 1. I have just started the game and realised how difficult it is to find new talent.

Hopefully this will produce the new Stancu, Torje and Mihelic's!

Try not to recommend players that cost over 1 million!

As you can guess im a derby fan and have just bought FM09 and im playing as derby county. Ive snapped up some free transfers:

Abreu - Fc (good in the championship my top scorer)
Carr - Dr (decent right back)
Smertin - DMC/MC (good signing for lower league, first team regular in my side)
Gravesen - DMC/MC (getting on but adds depth)

Ive also signed:

Brek Shea - AML MC - FC Dallas - Signed him for £900k (one for the future at 18 )
Doyley - DC/DR - Watford - Signed him for £1m to strengthen my defence!

Anyone got anymore? Im in search for a cheap keeper at the moment!

This guy isn't a bargain but I had never heard of him before. I don't know if you guys know about him but I thought I'd recommend him seen that he will be a class player... He's called Kacar and plays for Hertha BSC and is 21 years old I think... In my scout report it said that he could turn out to be better than Paul Scholes. And you only have to pay around the €10 million mark. He's got good stats for tackling, technique and heading if I remember correctly. He's a defensive midfielder but he can also play as a centre back and midfielder.:)
I recon that if you are a bigger club you should sign this player.

yeh i never said he is a bad player. but he will never be better than paul scholes, he wont even get close to being as good as scholes.

but then again im judging from what i ahve seen in real life and not by the game.

Tomassi is so sloppy! Giving away the ball and mistake prone leading to conceding goals its unreal! Brought in gravesen on a free and hugo viana(that's right from valencia) for 1.2 and they seem to be doing the job in the centre of the park!

Signed bobo balde (65k) and rob jones (600k) so i think that mgiht cover my centre back woe's!

Can somebody make a list of good cheap, preferably young players... Just, you know, for every mediocre club, players that are good and easy to get...For fm08 a had few players that were "must buy" buy now those players are not as good...

Yes and Gojko Kacar has great potential, he just needs time and games to become better and better. He probably won't be as good as Scholes or Hargrives, but he will be pretty decent player. The problem about Serbian player is that at very young age they leave the club and go abroad, where they don't get enough opportunities so they will never become good players...But I think Kacar ain't one of them... Few also good Serbian young players are Zrdavko Kuzmanovic, Miralem Sulejmani, Branislav Ivanovic, Zoran Tosic, Stevan Jovetic (but he is Montenegrin), Milos Krasic, etc...

Daryl Murphy from Sunderland either 1.3mil or free on loan for the season. Scored shed loads! Top scorer in the division for me when i had him on loan at Ipswich. Will go to any championship club and will score for fun

Vaclav Kadlec not sure how well he'll do but the fans loved the signing...

Bobo Balde for 9k from Celtic easily good enough for premiership but i managed to get him for Ipswich all be it on 15k a week. Well worth it though.

Brek Shea from FC Dallas 250k very good left winger. Will be premiership class. Is at Olympics to start with but will be back after about 3 league games.

John Goossens from Ajax not a bargain but i have him on loan for the season. Very good left sided player for championship.

I agree with previous people - Abreu is a quality signing for championship teams and he is a free transfer at the start My Top Scorer after 4 games with 5 goals. If your team needs a target man this is the man as he scores plenty of goals with his head and can hold the ball up.
