Introduction

I will still be sticking to my other story, which has gotten so much success since I started it in February. This is just a side-project.

Because of my commitments to David Beckham: From Hero to Zero, I was unable to start a new story/save with the January transfer patch. With the release of Football Manager 2014 closing in, I have decided to write a story where I will give the January patch a shot. And what club better to stick to than my own team - Liverpool Football Club?

In David Beckham: From Hero to Zero, I introduced to every reader David Beckham, although he needs little introduction. Beckham took Aston Villa from relegation contenders to treble winners before taking over at Bayern Munich and winning a treble there too. However, at Aston Villa, Beckham was constantly swayed by job opportunities at Manchester City, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund.

What if we have a man, a manager who is fully committed to the club he is in charge of - fully committed to being the next Sir Alex Ferguson in the Premier League?

Read on to find out.

Targets

  • Win the Premier League
  • Win another 5 Champions Leagues
  • Win more Premier Leagues than Manchester United
  • Getting back on the perch

Dethroning of the King

After intense early morning discussions held by Liverpool board members, the club has decided to relieve manager Kenny Dalglish of his duties as head coach of the Reds.

Dalglish took over in January 2011, replacing Roy Hodgson, having achieved legendary status at Anfield as a former player. His first spell as manager of the Reds brought many trophies, and the Liverpool board were hoping he would replicate that success in his second time in charge. Unfortunately, it was not to be.

Last season, Liverpool suffered one of their most horrendous seasons in recent years, finishing 8th despite winning the Carling Cup and reaching the Final of the FA Cup.

With the poor league finish, Liverpool owners John Henry and Tom Werner have both taken the decision to sack the Scot.

The Liverpool legend may not have done very well, but the amount of work and passion he'd put into running Liverpool was evident. His appearance on the touchline at every match will be sorely missed by every single member of the Kop.

It is believed that Henry and Werner both want to appoint a replacement as quickly as possible.

Another Glenn story..this site will be twice as awesome :D
He was a terrible manager, anyway.

Yep, I have decided to break my perfect 1000, I know, I know.
