That's probably the easiest group I've seen for City ever on an FM game. :P How was it seeded? and Good Luck! Flying start to the league too
Just made my account, this it the first story I've started to follow, doing well mate, well written pieces as well, keep up the good work:)
Great start to the season. interesting CL group, looking forward!

Not an easy group but quite fortunate still. City on my saves always seem to be thrown into the deep end with the likes of Barça, Real Madrid & PSG.
Okikos: I know, I've had much tougher ones! I think Porto were seeded first, Zenit second, me third (somehow) and then Salzburg fourth. Seems unfair to me :P

Lucas_C: Thanks :) will we be seeing you start one too?

zaans: Cheers mate :)

KingPadster: It must be fixed :P

Rosler: "Aguero Will Be Essential"

Former Manchester City icon Uwe Rosler, now the Brentford manager, has heaped praise on City's Argentine star Sergio Aguero, claiming that the striker will be essential to any chances Manchester City have of silverware this season. The Blues are looking to regain the league title from fierce rivals Manchester United, who have experience of how Aguero can punish teams.

Aguero has become a favourite in the City side since signing from Atletico Madrid two years ago. He scored 30 goals in all competitions in his first season in England, endearing himself to the City fans, but undoubtedly the most important and the one that made the City fans love him the most was his final one, in the final game of the season against QPR. Manchester City needed to win to clinch the league title, but somehow found themselves 2-1 down to the relegation-threatened side with 25 minutes of the game to go. All looked lost, until two minutes into extra time, Edin Dzeko headed in a corner, to set up a moment that would be forever etched onto the City fan's memories. Nigel De Jong had the ball in the center circle, before playing it 25 yards forward to Sergio Aguero, 30 yards from goal. He turned, and started making his way towards the ball, before playing it to Mario Balotelli on the edge of the box, who turned and played it back to Aguero, who took it past former City player Nedum Onuoha and smashed it past Paddy Kenny to win City the league title for the first time since 1968. It was a dramatic, unforgettable end to the season, and made the City faithful embrace him as one of their own.

Last season, Aguero didn't have the same level of impact in Manchester as in his first campaign in the Premier League, scoring only 17 goals in his 40 games in all competitions, with his campaign often interrupted due to injury, and the re-emergence of his Argentine counterpart Carlos Tevez, who had been absent for half of the previous campaign, alongside Dzeko rediscovering form, cementing his place as Manchester City's top scorer for the campaign. However, Aguero did contribute key goals at points in the campaign, such as the winner in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley, against Chelsea, and the winner in the derby at Old Trafford the week before.

And now, many are tipping Aguero to have another very good season in the sky blue of City, under new gaffer Dickov. However, former East German international Rosler has become the first to publicly come out and speak of the influence that he expects to have, saying in an interview with the London Evening Standard "it's clear to everyone that Aguero is a fantastic player, although he didn't really show it as much last season, and United won the title easily. I'm predicting him to have a very good year again this season, like in his first season, and he'll have to if City are to regain the title. He was formidable when they won it last, and now they'll need someone to be the same once again."

City and Aguero have made a very good start to the season, winning two out of two so far, and Aguero shooting to the top of City's scorers list, although has been outshone by David Silva, who has taken all the plaudits for his performances in August, winning the Player of the Month award. However, Aguero has been quietly going about his business, leading the line for City in both their games so far. The 38-times-capped Argentine still has five years left on his contract with the Blues, and will have delighted fans with the recent news he has signed an extension to his deal.
Sell him!
My favourite Manchester City player. I got excited when we were linked with him in 2007 but nothing ever really materialised :P
Kane: No. Just no.

Okikos: Haha, we win :P

Augero hasn't been that good for me this season to be honest but then again Lewandowski is stealing all his goals.
MrJK: That's very true :P

In the league...

Augero - 22 apps 9 goals
Lewandowski - 24 apps 17 goals
MrJK: Aguero is better to be fair :P
