Crystal Palace announce new kit manufacturers

http://i44.tinypic.com/2jg477k.png

Today, Crystal Palace have announced on the clubs official website that they are pleased to have agreed a 3 year deal with kit manufacturers Kappa. It is believed that the club have signed a deal which will see them earn an estimated worth of £8 million per annum. Kappa will take over from AVEC, which produced Crystal Palace's kit in the 2012/2013 season.

Kappa is an Italian company specialized at the manufacture of sporting clothes and accessories. Kappa and its sister brands (Robe di Kappa, K-Way, Superga, AnziBesson, Lanzera and Jesus Jeans) are owned by the holding company BasicNet and by JJ Robison.

The new deal sees Crystal Palace ditch their sponsorship with AVEC which lasted just a year. AVEC is a part of Nike, whom sponsored Crystal Palace between the years of 2009 - 2012.

Inside sources also claim that Palace is looking for a new shirt sponsor, after their current deal with GAC Logistics is coming to an end. GAC Logistics sponsored Crystal Palace 7 years, between the years of 2006 and 2013.

Martin Jol Sacked!

http://i39.tinypic.com/2qcp020.png

Fulham Football Club have announced the sacking of Martin Jol with immediate effect. Martin Jol has been sacked by chairman and Michael Jackson fanatic Mohammed Al Fayed after a recent run of poor games, which has seen Jol pick up 6 points from a total of 10 games.

Martin Jol has been in charge of Fulham since June 2011, after taking over from Mark Hughes. He has also had managerial stints at ADO Den Haag, as well as at Scheveningen Roda JC and RKC Waalwijk before taking over as Tottenham Hotspur Manager in 2004. From the 2008–09 season, Jol began coaching German Bundesliga club Hamburger SV where he lead them to a fifth placed finish. Jol then moved on to manager Ajax, where he stayed for a season before departing to leave for Fulham.

Media reports are rife with speculation over who will be Martin Jol's successor at Craven Cottage. Some of the names that are being looked at included are: Ian Holloway, Gus Poyet, Stuart Pearce and Sam Allardyce.

Sam Allardyce is being touted by the media as being the favorite to take over from Jol after he publicly spoke out about how he would consider a move to Fulham if the opportunity were available to him. The West Ham Board, however have yet to agree whether or not they should allow their manager to leave and if it were the case that he would stay, Fulham will be looking towards new appointed Crystal Manager boss, Gus Poyet.
Turn them down! Loyalty 4ever.

Sam's your man!

Fulham Football Club have announced the appointment of new manager Sam Allardyce. Sam Allardyce has traded The Boleyn Ground for Craven Cottage after deciding to end his reign as Manager of West Ham. Many fans said it was a shock, especially because he recently signed a new two year contract just last year. The former manager took charge of the club in July 2011 after having a year out from football after being sacked from Blackburn Rovers.

Many fans across forums have greeted his arrival with annoyance, claiming that he plays "anti-football" often referring to his style of play dull and boring. Allardyce, claims that this is not the case, and often rubbished the idea that he preferred the idea of playing "long-ball football."

West Ham have now said to be looking for a manager, with their top priority being Martil Jol. Other names include Ian Holloway, Gary Bowyer and Gérard Houllier. It was believed that West Ham owner David Gold preferred managerial signing was Gus Poyet, but in a recent interview Poyet stated. "People have been linking me to clubs and saying that I would leave. This is not the case, I have a contract with Palace which I will see out. I want to bring trophies to this club, I will not be abandoning it."

Glenn Murray: Poyet's one of the best!

http://i39.tinypic.com/2lvlm5w.png

Striker Glenn Murray has heaped praise on new manager Gus Poyet. Poyet took charge of Palace in late June, and has currently managed guided the club to 10th place in the table.

Speaking to the Crystal Palace website, Glenn said: "He's been great, he's definitely one of the best managers I have worked under. He knows when he needs to be strict and when to praise us, he's very motivational in that way."

Murray is currently joint top goalscorer in the league along side English counterpart Wayne Rooney with a total tally of 9 goals. Murray stated that the reason why he feels he's been able to step up and continue his scoring form, which saw him bag a total of 30 goals last season is down to Poyet's motivational team talks. Murray and Poyet are no strangers, however. Gus was part of the managerial team that managed Glenn during his time at Brighton before switching to Palace. Glenn also went on to state "He's certainly matured since he managed me last. He's been able to grow as a manager and find his feet and what works for him. After the Arsenal game he took us all out for a slap-up meal and told us that despite our disappointing results, we can still do well, we just have to believe in ourselves."
